~ Aaron explaining why he joined the road trip to Katie. |
Aaron Mitchell is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Linda Mitchell) of Sony Pictures Animation's 20th animated feature, The Mitchells vs the Machines. He is the protagonist Katie Mitchell's awkward younger brother, who has a strange obsession with dinosaurs and has difficulty making friends. He later becomes, along with his family, one of the last remaining free humans on Earth, after a robot apocalypse, and has to save the rest of humanity.
He was voiced by the movie's director, Michael Rianda.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He was always a friend of Katie and supportive of her creative ideas and short films.
- He tried, along with his mother, to get his sister and his father to reconnect throughout the movie.
- While he did tell Abbey that he hates her twice in the film, those were understandable because he wasn't ready to befriend her, and he subverts it at the end of the film.
- He tried to save Monchi when he walked into one of the pods.
- When Rick suggested that he'll eat Monchi soon, he along with Linda and Katie rightfully goes against Rick's idea and refuses to eat Monchi.
- He tried to cheer Katie up after she was sad about her future going down the drain.
- He was the one that discovered that Monchi is the PAL MAX bots' weakness.
- He helped his family defeat and destroy the items that PAL possessed in the mall.
- He jumped along with his family to help defeat the Giant Furby.
- While he was seen walking out of the mall when it is burning, it is left too vague to be a corrupting factor and he was seen leering at Katie as it is implied that he agreed with his father that burning the mall down is a bad idea.
- He helped invading PAL's laboratory, by disguising as a robot along with his family.
- He called Katie out for lying to their father.
- He helped Katie break into PAL Labs by guiding her through the robots and warning her where they were gonna attack.
- He took part in the final battle.
- He told Monchi to get PAL, which indirectly caused her death.
- While he did break a window in his house when Linda wanted to show Katie that he's playing with Abbie, it was accidental, and he apologized for doing so.
Trivia[]
- He was originally marked as Near Pure Good due to it being thought that he was reckless in burning the mall down and breaking a window in his house at first, but due to a user who proposed him finding in-film proof that he didn't smash the window on purpose and the burning mall scene is too vague for him, his father and his mother to be a corrupting factor, it was decided that he qualifies as Pure Good.
