Abby Schmidt is the deuteragonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's film series, based on the video game franchise of the same name.
She is the younger sister of Mike Schmidt who befriends the haunted animatronics at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, unaware of their sinister natures.
She is portrayed by Piper Rubio.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
Five Nights at Freddy's[]
- Unlike everyone else who encounters them, she befriends the animatronics haunted by the Missing Children at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. Despite later finding out that the children were homicidal minions of their murderer, she recognized that they weren't doing horrible things by their own will and still saw them as friends.
- Per Mike's request, she tries asking the animatronics what happened to her and Mike's deceased brother Garrett.
- When Garrett's and the Missing Children's murderer William Afton comes to the pizzeria to murder her and Mike, she replaces Afton's drawing of him as the children's friend with one of him killing them all, revealing the truth about him to the animatronics and leading to them defeating and imprisoning him, stopping him from hurting anyone at the location ever again.
- As she and Mike escaped the collapsing pizzeria, she helped him bring Afton's stabbed daughter Vanessa with him so she could be brought to a hospital.
- Her act of showing the animatronics that William was their killer practically avenged all the people Afton has directly or indirectly murdered.
- While she does have moments where she acts like a jerk to her older brother Mike, those are usually either just harmless sibling banter or heating-up periods and she loves her brother deeply at the end of the day. Plus, we can see them getting along and have a very nice dinner together at the end of the movie, showing that they are on better terms than they were at the beginning.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2[]
- Despite the trauma she, Mike and Vanessa endured, she never held any personal grudges against the animatronics as she realized they were homicidal against their will and still mourned and missed her friends.
- She is always shown to be loyal to her brother Mike, as she is shown to care about his safety and even support him, such as when she fixed his tie before his "date" with Vanessa.
- She sneaks back into the pizzeria, trying to fix her friends despite knowing the danger and risking her life, showing her unwavering resolve and how important they are to her, even when they seem like nothing more than homicidal creatures to everyone else.
- While she was possessed by the puppet, she fought back for control, showing resilience even in the face of danger.
