Adam Greene is the player character in the Sierra computer game series Ecoquest. He is a 12-year old boy who is the son of a marine biologist, and values preserving the environment. He appears in Ecoquest: The Search for Cetus and Ecoquest 2: The Lost Secret of the Rainforest. In both games, he meets talking animals whose homes are in danger, and agrees to help save them.
In The Search for Cetus, he is voiced by Dylan Skirvin.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He’s very friendly, cares about the environment, and is always willing to help those in need.
- He helps care for an injured seagull caught in an oil spill.
- He bonds with an injured dolphin his father found in a drift net, playing with him and trying to cheer him up. When he discovers the dolphin, Delphineus, can talk and is from the underwater kingdom Eluria, Adam immediately agrees to help him.
- He picks up all the garbage that’s been dumped on the ocean floor and in the rainforest.
- He helps a number of Elurians with their problems, saving some of their lives in the process.
- He finds an underwater dumping site for toxic waste and rigs a transmitter to alert the authorities, getting the poison removed.
- He finds King Cetus and cures his harpoon wound with a magical healing potion.
- He rescues Delphineus from Flesh-Eater’s lair, then stuns Flesh-Eater with a lion fish spine, and is willing to forgive him and hope that he returns to normal once the poison clears away.
- He keeps track of ecological disturbances in the rainforest.
- He finds and plants a new Heart of the Forest, foiling the plans of a poacher and saving the rainforest from destruction.
- He finds the cure for a sickness that is affecting the natives in the rainforest.
