Agent 3, later known as the Captain, is the main protagonist of the Splatoon franchise. They are the main protagonist of Splatoon, one of the two unseen overarching protagonists of Splatoon 2 (alongside Cap'n Cuttlefish), the overarching protagonist of Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion (in which they are also the secret final boss as Inner Agent 3) and one of the tritagonists of Splatoon 3.
They were once a regular Inkling, until Cap'n Cuttlefish recruits them into the New Squidbeak Splatoon, tasking them to reclaim the stolen Great Zapfish from the Octarians. By the time of Splatoon 3, Agent 3 has been promoted to Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon after Cuttlefish retires.
What Makes Them Pure Good?[]
- They defeated the Octarians and their leader, DJ Octavio, and brought back power to Inkopolis Plaza by restoring the Great Zapfish.
- They also rescued Cap'n Cuttlefish, who was kidnapped by DJ Octavio, a former ally of his before the events of the Great Turf War.
- Saves Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish from getting blended by Commander Tartar, allowing Agent 8 to escape the Deepsea Metro, stop Commander Tartar from using a laser to destroy Inkopolis and the rest of the world, with the help from Off the Hook.
- Uses a machine created by various treasures New Agent 3 found after defeating the three members of Deep Cut to clear away all of the lethal Fuzzy Ooze blocking the way to the space center where Craig Cuttlefish and Mr. Grizz are located, allowing the New Squidbeak Splatoon to find out about Grizz's plan to coat the planet in Fuzzy Ooze in order to bring back the currently extinct mammals and stop him, saving all marine life on the planet by process.
- Revived Craig Cuttlefish by shedding a tear on his dried out body.
- While they did attack Agent 8 at first due to them being an Octoling, proving them to be quick to attack, this was due to Cuttlefish's orders, and they later subvert this by saving Agent 8 later, as well as having no more of this trait towards Octolings in Splatoon 3, being perfectly fine if New Agent 3 is one, and willingly teams up with Shiver and DJ Octavio in Return of the Mammalians' finale, both of whom are Octolings.
Trivia[]
- Agent 3 was originally considered to be Near Pure Good due to being quick to attack. However, when it was considered that they got rid of this trait, they were eventually approved as Pure Good.
