Agent 8 is the main protagonist of the Splatoon 2 DLC pack, Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion and the Splatoon 3 DLC Pack Side Order. They are an Octoling who rebelled against the Octarian society after the events of the first Splatoon, during which they heard the Calamari Inkantation sung by the Squid Sisters.

What Makes Them Pure Good?

General

• Upon hearing the Calamari Inkantation, they abandoned the totalitarian Octarian society and helped out Captain Cuttlefish.
• They stand out from the rest of the heroes, because they lack corrupting traits such as the mischievous Inklings, the jerkish Pearl or the xenophobic Captain Cuttlefish.

Octo Expansion

• They freed Agent 3 from Tartar's control.
• They saved the world from Commander Tartar.
• They are shown to be really open-minded, as they want Inklings to consider how Octolings see the world, rather than making everything squid-themed.
• Even though he is an evil tyrant who oppressed and brainwashed them, they bear no ill will towards DJ Octavio, and is even willing to apologize to him for abandoning the Octarian nation.
• They desire to spread peace throughout the world and have all races live in harmony.

Side Order

• They freed Marina from Order's control.
• They defeated Order, thus saving the world from becoming colorless.
• They restored the Palettes of Off the Hook, the Squidbeak Splatoon (Callie, Marie, Agent 4 and (possibly) Sheldon), Deep Cut, Murch, their former leader Octavio, and eventually themselves, thus Saving what's left of their souls from the Memverse's security malfunction.
