“ | I am. But there I am known by another name. This was the very reason you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there. | „ |
~ Aslan hinting at who he really is. |
Aslan is the overarching protagonist of The Chronicles of Narnia series. He is the Highest High King of Narnia and has done his best to protect it and make it flourish over the centuries. He has succeeded in helping and saving many people to rule Narnia and helped it be the wonderful country that it was. Eventually he destroyed the old Narnia and brought all his believers, including the 7 friends of Narnia (not including Susan) to live in his country forever.
He was voiced by Liam Neeson (who also played Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (1998)) in the Disney live-action versions, and by Stephen Torne in the 1979 animated film.
