Astra

Astra is a reoccurring character within the Ultraman franchise, who made his first appearance in the 1974-1975 Tokusatsu series Ultraman Leo. He is the younger brother of Ultraman Leo and the overall 8th member of the Ultra brothers.

Having survived the destruction of his homeworld L77 and being tortured by Alien Magma, he was saved by Ultraman King and later traveled to Earth in order to reunite with his brother. Following this, he then he went to help his brother whenever he was overwhelmed or during times of need.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

In General[]

Due to him and Leo training Zero during his exile, he is responsible for the latter becoming one of the most skilled and powerful Ultras in the land of light.
Despite the high admirable standards, Astra has less screen time and lacks a lot of resources compared to the rest of the Ultra Brothers, including his own brother Leo.
While he arguably started out lacking characterization due to having not as much spoken lines in Ultraman Leo, he starts to gain enough personality throughout from Ultra Galaxy Legends to The Destined Crossroad.

Ultraman Leo[]

In episode 22, helped Leo defeat Gallon and Littre.
In episode 33, he managed to save Leo when he was getting strangled by Alien Akumania. After that, he then went on to help Leo defeat him,
In episode 36, he stopped Alien Atlanta from crashing Dan into MAC’s HQ and destroying it. After that, he helped Leo defeat him.
In episode 39, he managed to return the Ultra key back to the land of light before it could crash into Earth, thus saving billions of lives in the process.
- Additionally, by helping Leo restore the Ultra key, he ultimately.
In episode 46, he managed to save Leo and defeat Hangilar by himself before later helping Leo get back on his feet.

Ultraman Mebius[]

In the series finale, him and Leo both helped the other Ultra brothers unblock the sun after it encased in Darkness by Alien Empera.

Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie[]

During the climax of the film, him and Leo helped Zero, Rei, Ultraman, Seven, Mebius, Dyna, and the ZAP SPACEY crew defeat Belial in his Belyurada form.

Ultraman Zero: Revenge of Belial[]

During the beginning of the film, he joined the rest of the Ultras in giving their light energy in order to create a universal travel sphere for Zero while he traveled across the universe.
During the finale, him and the other Ultra brothers all assisted in defending the land of light when Belial sent a larger squadron of his army to attack it.

Ultraman Ginga[]

Prior to the events of the series, he and the other Ultras participated in the Dark Spark War (a war that involved all types of Ultras, Seijin, and Kaiju form different universes) in order to try and take down Dark Lugiel.

Ultra Fight Victory[]

In episode 9, him and Leo managed to defeat Yapool’s choju Vakishim and Dorogory.
In episode 13, him, Leo, Ace, and Ginga all took the opportunity to defeat Super Grand King Spectre for good once it became immobilized after Victory defeated its master Juda.

Ultraman Geed[]

In episode 1, he was one of the many Ultras who tried to stop Belial and his army when they were attacking Earth.

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]

In episode 5, him, Seven, Zero, Leo, and Joneus all joined together on the planet Babel in order to help Ribut and the Ultra force against the absolutians.
In episode 6, using his sensing skills, he managed to find the location of the Kingdom which was where Yullian was being held prisoner.
In episode 7, he managed to convince Zoffy into letting him join the Ultra force in order to find new coordinates once they rescued Yullian.
In episode 8, he managed to help Yullian and his old friend Regulos escape.
- Additionally, during the mission he used himself as conduit for Sora so that she could open a dimensional rift, thus allowing him and the rest of the Ultra force to escape from the kingdom.
In episode 9, him and Astra managed to help Regulos defeat Absolute Diavolo during the final battle against the Absolutians on Planet Blizzard.
