Bambi is the titular main protagonist of Disney's 5th full-length 1942 animated feature film of the same name and its 2006 midquel Bambi II.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He's a kind deer with a loving heart.
- Although he's a bit timid to female fawn Faline (who would later become his wife), Thumper the rabbit (who becomes his best friend) and the unnamed skunk, whom he accidentally nicknames Flower (who later becomes his other best friend), he subverts it later on.
- He loves his mother more than anything, and he is devastated when she is shot and killed by a hunter, and his father, the Great Prince of the Forest, takes him in. He even tries to search her in the forest, but to no avail.
- He is determined to learn everything about his father's job as the Forest's Protector while staying with him.
- While Bambi was frozen with fear, he watched his father fight 3 of Man's hunting dogs, and he learns to defend himself, despite not yet having antlers.
- He asks Thumper and Flower to help him learn to be brave, along with practicing his jumping.
- When Ronno tries to force Faline to go with him, Bambi yells at Ronno to leave her alone.
- He saved a ladybug from being eaten by a spider.
- While running with the other deer in the meadow, Bambi beats Ronno and catches up to his father.
- While going with Mena to her home, Ronno taunts Bambi and they fight, and Bambi defeats him.
- He saved Mena's life by distracting Man's hunting dogs, and causing them to chase him, while his father freed Mena from one of Man's snare traps.
- He defends Faline from Ronno as an adult and defeats Ronno.
- He saves Faline's life while fighting off Man's hunting dogs, after Man returns to the forest. While he kills Man's dogs, he does it as self-defense.
- After his father retired the same day he became a grandfather, Bambi took his place as the new Great Prince of the Forest.
- While one could argue that he does something equal to goodness zone very late in the film, he spends most of the first film being a very young child, who doesn't completely understand, what is right and what is wrong, and appears as an adult only in the middle of the first film, not to mention that the second film shows how he learns to understand, what is right and what is wrong. Thus, Bambi doesn't misuse his screentime at all.
Trivia[]
- He's the first and currently the only character from his cartoon to be Pure Good.
- He was formerly rejected and demoted to the Heroic Benchmark Wiki for the unknown reason, but, after a re-examination, he was reapproved as Pure Good.
