What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He unsuccessfully tried to save his father from Orcs and he managed to save his father's arm with his family ring. He also managed to kill the leader of the Orcs.
- He fought Morgoth alone for many years. The only ones who helped him were animals and birds. That's why he didn't eat meat and didn't even kill any living creature unless it wasn't one Morgoth's servants. While this acts were acts of vengefulness (as he was going to avenge his father), this isn't corrupting in any way as he didn't harm any innocents, only Morgoth's servants. He also wanted to punish those, who were guilty in his father's murder. He also managed to ingure Sauron.
- When he was ordered by Thingol to find the Silmaril, he didn't refuse. He went to search the Silmaril.
- During his campaign, he and Finrod managed to destroy the whole army of Orcs.
- Even after being freed from Sauron's captivity he didn't abandon his mission.
- He fought Curufin and Celegorm, who assaulted him. When they shot him and Lúthien with arrows, he shielded Lúthien. While he did try to kill them, it was self-defence.
- He managed to steal the Silmaril and tried to get the other two, but didn't succeed.
- He tried to defeat Carcharoth, but the latter bit his arm away.
- When the Silmaril was stolen by Carharoth, Beren did his best to find and defeat Carcharoth. He succeeded.
- He decided to get revenge to the dwarves for the murder of Thingol and the sack of Menegroth. Once again, it's not the corrupting factor, but something good, as he never harmed innocents, he only punished the guilty.
- He defeated and killed Naugladur, who wanted to kill a man.
