Ay! (Make money! Get fish quick!) Ay! (Big Man in the house!)
~ Big Man's introduction in Return of the Mammalians.

Big Man is a major character in Splatoon 3 serving as one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Frye & Shiver) of Return of the Mammalians. He is a manta ray who is one third of Deep Cut, alongside his bandmates Shiver and Frye. He, alongside his co-hosts, runs Anarchy Splatcast, and is also a host of the Splatfest events.

The single player campaign of Splatoon 3, called Return of the Mammalians, reveals Big Man works alongside Shiver and Frye as bandits in the Splatlands, and being one of the three secondary antagonists, along with the rest of Deep Cut. He even serves as the boss of the mode's sixth site, "Happiness Research Lab". However, he, along with the rest of the trio, eventually make amends with the New Squidbeak Splatoon, and helps them defeat Mr. Grizz.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

  • It's revealed that the reason he and the rest of Deep Cut were banditing in the Splatlands was to look for treasure to sell in order to provide money for the poverty in Splatsville.
  • He is generally pacifistic and is the least interested in fighting the new Agent 3, only saying he'd do it for Splatsville or to make Shiver and Frye happy.
  • He and the rest of Deep Cut feel guilt for fighting the NSS after Marie states that they can have their treaure back.
  • He gives New Agent 3 a space headset/helmet so that they can breathe in space while they fight Mr. Grizz.
  • He sings the Calamari Inkantation 3Mix alongside the rest of his trio and the Squid Sisters, which has a supernatural aura that allows New Agent 3's companion Smallfry to transform into the Hugefry and battle and distract Mr. Grizz. This, combined with assistance from DJ Octavio, allows New Agent 3 to defeat Grizz and save the world.
  • He produces a song for charity with the Squid Sisters and attempts to apologise to his band members after realising he forgot to tell them about it.
