I'm still trying to study the manuals, maybe there's still a solution. Just don't be sad, Chica. I can't stand it.
~ Bonnie's last line in the series as he consoles Chica.

Bonnie the Bunny is a supporting protagonist in Tony Crynight's animated webseries Five Nights at Freddy's, loosely based on the horror video game franchise of the same name.

A much more heroic adaptation of the character of the same name, Bonnie is a bunny animatronic working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Meek but goodhearted, he is somewhat of a geek with a love for engineering, reason why Chica, who happens to be his love interest, asks him to help her in fixing Mangle's body after Chica mutilated her out of jealousy. However, Bonnie, Chica, Mangle's boyfriend Foxy and, later, Freddy would soon end up in the evil Springtrap's manipulations in their search for Mangle.

He is voiced by Laphin Hyena.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

  • Unlike the other protagonists, who range from somewhat rude and brash like Foxy to shady like Freddy or even briefly antagonistic like Chica and Mangle, Bonnie is endlessly kind, humble and friendly to all the characters with no moments of hostility or corrupting qualities whatsoever.
  • As an animatronic entertainer, Bonnie's job is to bring fun and happiness to the children who visit Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.
  • He immediately forgives Chica after she becomes remorseful over mutilating Mangle and accepts to use his engineering skills to fix Mangle without hesitation. This is clearly not just because he has a crush on Chica, as he's later just as forgiving towards the misguided Mangle, whom he doesn't love romantically.
  • He saves Chica from a vengeful Mangle's grasp and tries to calm her down by showing her they want to help her before she knocks him out.
  • He holds no grudge whatsoever towards Mangle for attacking him and Chica and, upon waking up, he immediately sets off with Chica and Foxy to find her so he can fix her.
  • He convinces Freddy to help him, Chica and Foxy in their search for Mangle. Freddy's help would prove pivital in both finding Mangle and stopping Springtrap and Fredbear.
  • He tries to fight Fredbear.
  • He eventually fixes Mangle's broken body and, after Springtrap reset Foxy's hard-drive, Bonnie gets him from comatose to conscious again and tries with all his might to restore his lost memories, with his research on Foxy being on-going even by the end of the end of the series.
  • He consoles Chica, who feels responsible for everything that has happened, and the two presumably get toghether.
  • Although he is meek and easily scared, he's not a dirty coward in any way whatsoever and is even willing to throw himself into a fight if his friends are in danger.
  • While he laughs at a very mean-spirited joke by Freddy on how Chica "made Mangle's name make sense" by mutilating her, he quickly realizes it was wrong of him and immediately feels bad about it.
  • He manages to stand out with his actions thanks to the story being very small in scale, even by the standards of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, and Bonnie being very lacking in resources outside of his engineering skills, even compared to the rest of the similarly resourceless cast, who are all much more physically strong than him.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only version of Bonnie to be Pure Good. Ironically the original Bonnie from the games is a villain, while an alternate version of Bonnie, Springtrap is the only Five Nights at Freddy's Pure Evil canon to the games.
  • Only Bonnie from the seventeen-parter miniseries is Pure Good, as Bonnie is just a standard good guy in the non-canon animated sketches on Tony Crynight's channel and even had some ambiguous moments in them, such as knocking Freddy unconscious with a mallet in one of the endings of "A ChrisFNAF Carol".
  • Like in most media, red eyes are usually used in Tony Crynight's series to represent evil, as Chica's eyes briefly go from fuchsia to red as she goes murderously berserk with jealousy while Mangle's briefly go from yellow to red as she is consumed by vengefulness. Therefore, it's ironic that Bonnie, the one character in the series to have red eyes by default, is also the most goodhearted and the only Pure Good in the series.
