Bruce is a supporting protagonist of the My Hero Academia franchise. He was a resistance second-in-command under Kudo that opposed the infamous villain, All For One, and the successor of Kudo, becoming the third user of the One For All quirk.
Like the former Yoichi and Kudo, he would end up creating a new legacy of One For All users who would oppose All For One. Alongside his fellow users, he would serve as a major ally to its ninth and final user, Izuku Midoriya.
He was voiced by Ryōta Suzuki in Japanese and Nazeeh Tarsha in English.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General/Background[]
- During the chaotic period where Quirks were awry, he acted as the right-hand and partner to Kudo in a resistance against the tyrannical All For One.
- Despite his initial plans to kill him for being All For One's brother, he and Kudo rescued Yoichi's life from imprisonment and welcomed him into his resistance, becoming his first ever friends.
- He and Kudo studied the properties of One For All left by Youchi's will. He would then inherit the ability after Kudo's death.
- While Kudo couldn't understand the use of One For All, Bruce quickly observed the Quirk and realized its strength. Furthermore, he would suggest transferring the Quirk to prevent All For One from taking back the Quirk. This makes him responsible for the transfer of the Quirk and strengthening its ability to defeat All For One.
- Before his death, he passed on his ability to Himage Shiramori, which would then lead to the chain of events of One For All saving the world.
- Although he possessed a cynical and pessimistic personality, this is incredibly justified because of the war-torn and chaotic period he was living in. Even with his personality, he still possessed enough good to make the right choices.
- Despite the high admirable standards, Bruce passes the standards as it was thanks to him observing and studying One For All and how it works. If not for his observation, One For All would fall into All For One's hands. He also stands out due to possessing lower resources than his leader Kudo.

Heroes Rising[]
- He and the other users, wanting to continue to harness One For All to Izuku, recognizing him for his heroism, temporarily transfer their power to Katsuki Bakugo to defeat Nine, ensuring Izuku does not lose the quirk.
The Final War Arc[]
- Along with other vestiges, he helped Izuku Midoriya defeat All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, and saved the world.
- Although he was reluctant to aid Midoriya (alongside Kudo), due to his optimistic attitude and his ideals to save Tomura, he decided to aid him anyway and taught him more about his Quirk: Fa Jin.
- Along with the other users, he tried to advise Izuku to stop pushing himself too hard during his vigilante activities.
- Alongside the other vestiges of the One For All Users, he sacrificed himself to stop Shigaraki.
- Prior to the sacrificial plan, Bruce, while stating he would always follow Kudo, did express his concern on his plan, calling it too risky.
- He and the other One For All users (excluding Yoichi) alongside Tomura, came together to destroy the vestige of All For One, putting an end to him once and for all.
