Bumblebee, originally B-127, is one of the two main protagonists of the rebooted continuity of the Transformers live-action film series. He is a member of the Autobots who was the first to come to their new home on Earth after Cybertron was overtaken by the Decepticons.
He was voiced by Dylan O'Brien before his voice loss.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Though the admirable standard is very high, Bee stands out on his own for ensuring the continued survival of all Autobots and preventing Shatter and Dropkick from starting a Decepticon invasion on Earth, not to mention he was entirely alone and without other Autobots for the entirety of the Bumblebee film with only Charlie to help him, whereas Prime and Primal both had other Transformers to back them up throughout their appearances, as well as his lack of resources being stranded on Earth alone and without his memories up until the end of the first film.
- Though he can be slightly mischievous, it's clearly not meant to be out of actual malice for anyone around him and it's also played for laughs.
- Unlike other Autobots, Bee doesn't kill other Transformers unless it's his very last choice, as demonstrated with Shatter and Dropkick, even Blitzwing as it's clear he had no intention of negotiating and even if Bee spared him it's likely that he would have kept attacking anyways.
Bumblebee[]
- During the final battle for Cybertron he was among the many Autobots that were fighting, also helping take out the seekers.
- He was reluctant to leave his home planet behind, before Optimus gave him the mission to go to the planet Earth and establish an Autobot base there, in order to regroup and fight and ensure the survival of their kind.
- After crashlanding into the woods he tries to flee from Jack Burns' men and doesn't retaliate against them, instead only trying to leave without hurting them.
- He tries to peacefully explain his arrival to the humans that had cornered him and upon noticing Blitzwing arriving, he tried to warn them and protect them.
- He refuses to reveal anything to Blitzwing, despite not even knowing where Optimus was, which resulted in his voice loss.
- Despite being severely injured, he retaliates by using Blitzwing's own missile and his cannon to blow him up, ensuring the safety of his friends and the surrounding humans. Afterwards he flees the scen and scans a nearby vehicle before collapsing and losing his memories.
- Upon being discovered by Charlie he tried to hide himself but quickly befriends her.
- He hides after Charlie tells him to when her mom uses his vehicle mode to take their pet to the veterinarian.
- He practices his hiding skills with Charlie for what to do in case of being discovered by other humans.
- He allows Charlie to try to fix his radio, which unlocks a transmission from Optimus Prime, reminding Bee of his mission.
- He bonds with Charlie over her taste in music and helps her open up about her father's death.
- Though he accidentally destroyed most of the interior of Charlie's house, he felt very bad about it and it wasn't intentional, not to mention he tried to fix some of it before Charlie returned to the house.
- He takes Charlie out for a drive to help her calm down after an argument with her family.
- After stumbling unto a roadblock by Sector 7, he transforms into robot mode and takes Charlie to safety when the soldiers try to forcibly seize her.
- After being brought back by Charlie he decides to stop Shatter and Dropkick from transmitting a message to the Decepticons for an invasion of earth.
- Upon seeing the Sector 7 soldiers injuring Charlie, he breaks free and fights back against them before being calmed down by her.
- He and Charlie drive throughout the entire city to get to the antennae Shatter will use to relay her message.
- He leaves Charlie in a garbage bin to keep her safe while he takes on the Decepticons.
- He inmeadiately engages Dropkick in combat and defeats him by killing him with a set of chains thus Avenging Cliffjumper, Powell and others who he killed, afterwards he saves Burns' life, in spite of all the time he spent chasing him and working with Decepticons, by stopping his helicopter from crashing since Shatter and shot it down.
- After Charlie disables the the power source, Bee shoots the damn causing the ocean's water to pour in while holding Shatter in place, though it may kill him as well. This destroyed both Shatter and her message, preventing a major Decepticon invasion and avenging those the duo had killed.
- He parts ways with Charlie, knowing it was far too dangerous for her to accompany him and the other Autobots.
- He gets personally thanked by Optimus, as his actions ensured the survival of the Autobot cause.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts[]
- Seven years later, he has joined Optimus' team of Autobots while they are stranded on Earth.
- He answers Prime's call regarding the Transwarp Key's activation.
- He accompanies the others in the plan to have Noah retrieve the key, also defending humanity when Optimus states they cannot be trusted.
- He and the other Autobots engage the Terrorcons in combat and upon noticing Optimus being overpowered by Scourge, he rushed in to help but was stabbed by Scourge's arm blade and then shot to death. Before his death he also reaffirmed his loyalty to Optimus.
- His death motivated Optimus to defeat Scourge at all costs, and Noah and Elena to join the Autobots' efforts which would ultimately lead to Scourge's defeat and Earth's salvation as Unicron could not cross over.
- Inmediately after being resurrected by a massive Energon source He left with Stratosphere to go fight in the final battle and prevent Unicron's arrival.
- Upon arriving, he shot down several Terrorcon pods containing Scorponoks and Sweeps, also taking out Nightbird, one of Unicron's most fearsome soldiers in the process.
- He used his vehicle mode to assist Noah and take him closer to the tower to deactivate the Transwarp device and prevent Unicron's arrival.
- He stayed with the other Autobots and Maximals to take out the remaining Terrorcons, allowing Optimus to take on Scourge.
- When Optimus decided to stay behind and sacrifice himself to destroy the key, he grabbed Elena and took her to safety, later joined by Optimus after Primal and Noah saved him.
- He returned to America with the other Autobots to find new ways of possibly returning to Cybertron, while also swearing to protect humanity and defeat Unicron.
Trivia[]
- He and Primal are currently the only characters from the reboot films to be Pure Good.
- His predecesor, the Bayverse Bumblebee, doesn't qualify as Pure Good due to having recurring lethality and several jerkish moments.
