Phoebus: You fight almost as well as a man.
Esmarelda: Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you.

Amazons are female heroes and are the opposite to Damsels. They are capable of defending themselves, are strong, and show incredible courage. In the legends, amazons are tall and strong warriors in ancient times. Most are warriors but not all of them are. This counts for heroines who save themselves if they are in danger.

Examples include Mara, a magic-empowered warrior, Ochaco Uraraka, a superhero, and Shantae, a half-genie adventurer.

Note: They often automatically count as the One Woman Army though there are a few exceptions. Males cannot count as this at all, as this only applies to female heroes. However, genderless can count if their appearances heavily lean more on their feminine traits (along with she/her pronouns being used).
