| “ | Don't cry, Ryuko. Sailor uniforms are made to be grown out of. From now on, you're free to wear what you like. Clothes far cuter than I could ever be. | „ |
| ~ Senketsu comforting Ryuko Matoi before his sacrifice. |
| “ | Dio. Like you said, our fates might truly be one in the same. I feel an odd warmth toward you. Now our lives are bound completely. And they will vanish along with this ship. Farewell... Erina. | „ |
| ~ Jonathan Joestar holding Dio Brando in his arms during his final moments. |
| “ | Freedom and unity have battled since the dawn of time. But they are not opposites, they describe the same phenomenon. One cannot be free unless all are. And if all are free: they are as one. I fell short of achieving this...but it doesn't matter. The goal isn't important the journey is, and it never ends. | „ |
| ~ Optimus Prime's final monologue |
Pure Good heroes that have died and remained dead. This also includes ghosts that were banished to the spirit world as well. Undeads can't count unless they are also killed for good (e.g. Hershel Greene, The Titan, and Michael Afton). There are plenty of those heroes who are deceased who are Saved Souls as well (e.g. Jane Foster, Mia Fey, First Spinjitzu Master, and Iroh).
Various means on how a hero died/remained dead includes:
- Violent Death: A hero winds up killed in a violent or disturbing way, such as fatally incinerated by an explosion, mutilated alive, eaten/mauled alive, impaled, completely dissolved, decapitated, etc. Usually the hero is completely taken by surprise and doesn't have the time to react. However those with enhanced senses usually manage to avoid that kind of death (e.g. Hiccup Haddock II, Bodhi Rook, Kyojuro Rengoku, Polites, Laurie Strode, Yoichi Shigaraki, Kaede Akamatsu, Alpha Trion, Frank McTickly Wrigglers, Vector Perkins, Escanor, Tadashi Hamada, Fives, Jonathan Joestar and Gwen Stacy).
- Died with honor: The hero has accepted the fact that their demise is inevitable and had enough dignity to face it. Many of the heroes who died in this way are honorable ones. Thus, circumstances were includes:
- Chooses to die: Often as a heroic sacrifice, a hero decides to allow themselves to perish in varying circumstances instead of being saved in order to grant others a chance at victory, to protect their loved ones or to atone for a previous mistake, often seen with redeemed villains (e.g. Pops Maellard, Yue, Rin Nohara, Chiaki Nanami, Black Widow and Michael Afton).
- Accepts Death: Wise heroes who at the end of their lives decide to accept their deaths as part of their destiny and without sadness (e.g. Optimus Prime, Soichiro Yagami, Matthew Hallard, Oogway, and SMG0).
- Fought to the end: Heroes who fought with honor in order to avenge, protect or defend themselves, fighting until the very end of their lives (e.g. Oliver Grayson, Ben, Dewey Riley, Karen Plankton and Crane).
- Martyrdom: Martyrs who give their lives for a cause being willing to surrender their very existences somehow in order to save the day, often through a heroic sacrifice by giving their own life so that others can live or by allowing themselves to be killed by a villain or other means so that other heroes can succeed (e.g. Roos Tarpals, Aerith Gainsborough, Sannagi, Bob Newby, Lily Potter, Ultimate Spider-Man, Shisui Uchiha, Dhurke Sahdmadhi, Ian Dietrich, John Coffey, Ishiro Serizawa, Elijah Brodski, Nancy Thompson and Nana Shimura).
- Died from an Illness: In this case the hero has succumbed to a deadly disease that the hero failed to cure in time (e.g. Black Panther and Kaito Momota). This also includes heroes that died from natural causes (e.g. Aragorn, Oogway and Yoda).
- Destruction/Deactivation: Exclusively for robots or machines that were destroyed/deactivated permanently (e.g. Android 16, Tari, and Vision).
- Died off-screen: In many cases, certain heroes have met their fate onscreen. But, in this case, the hero's death was not shown but was mentioned by a character that they met their fate when no one else was there to see it (e.g. Bail Organa, Tanjiro Kamado, Maurice, Princess Zelda, Hashirama Senju, Dr. Malcolm Crowe, Nicole, Leif, and Mr. Miyagi).
Their counterparts are Deceased Pure Evils.
