Zero to hero in no time flat, zero to hero just like that!
~ Hercules' ascension from zero to hero.
Johann: He resented my genius and tried to deny me what was rightfully mine, but he gave you everything. So, what made you so special?
Steve: *chuckles* Nothin'. I'm just a kid from Brooklyn.
~ Red Skull and Captain America about who the latter was before taking the Super-Soldier serum.

These are characters who started off as being normal citizens, but later not only did they become heroes, but also became purely good. These characters used to be normal citizens either because they didn't have any intention to be a hero or they were too weak to fight as a hero. These characters later gain power and skill to help them fight as a pure good hero and ended up being a true hero in the eyes of other characters. These are not to be confused with Hidden Pure Goods, who are believed to be bad or neutral before revealing their true colors later. Their opposites are From Nobody to Nightmare. Many of these characters are also Wholly Reformed as they may have been jerks before becoming heroes or simply did not want to perform heroism. However, exceptions exist if they were already nice and/or bereft of any corrupting qualities as a nobody.

For obvious reasons, heroes who were already in positions of power - such as being Monarchs, Tyrants, Aristocrats, Officials of any kind or famous people before becoming good - can't qualify. Heroes who were Deities, Messiahs, Gods, Cosmic Entities, or Demons before turning good also can't count because the status and magnitude of their power is inherently beyond what is normal. The same would be said for most monsters for similar reasons. They should go under Spoiled Sweet instead. This category is only for heroes who were AVERAGE CITIZENS before they turned good, and those of the aforementioned positions of power can only qualify if they were normal people beforehand and for whatever reason achieved their position of power during their journey. Nevertheless, due to their Pure Good status, they are never arrogant about how much power they have or abuse them and only use them for the greater good.

Note: In order for an alien to qualify, they would have to have started with zero powers or they were formerly humans before being exposed to alienish powers.

Made-up example: Tim used to be a normal magician whose tricks all involved some sort of secret technique, but once he got actual magic powers, he decided to use them for the greater good.
