Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, is the overarching protagonist of the 2009 television series Wolverine and the X-Men.

He was voiced by Jim Ward.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

In some unknown time period he fought and defeated the Shadow King and saved Storm from his abusive tendencies.
He helped Jean Grey with her powers.
Saved Nightcrawler from a gang of thugs pursuing him and took care of him to the point where Nightcrawler became a vert admirable person.
Formed the X-Men with Angel, Beast, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. He along with them stopped Magneto
Informed Wolverine and the X-Men that the world would become a dystopian wasteland with sentinels capturing numerous mutants.
Warned Wolverine that Storm would destroy Africa in the past. Due to this Wolverine and the X-Men saved Africa, the Africans, and Storm from the Shadow King.
Warned Wolverine that a dangerous mutant called Nitro would be released by the Brotherhood. Had Wolverine and the X-Men not interfered, Quicksilver would've brought Nitro to Genosha where Nitro would most certainly cause mass destruction there. While Nitro was imprisoned in a MRD facility, it was necessary as he could not control his powers. Also, Nitro himself wanted to be in the MRD's custody since he himself knew he was too dangerous to be around anyone or anything.
- Magneto himself admitted that he would never want Nitro on the island of Genosha. Thus, it's safe to say the X-Men and Charles did the right thing.
After the sentinels find and capture Charles, he and Bishop found the future X-Men, break the prisoners our of the camp, rescued Julian from torture, Charles informs Wolverine that the ruler of the sentinels is Master Mold. Charles and his future X-Men take back Cerebro from the Sentinels so that they couldn't use it.
- It should be noted that later in the series, Master Mold used Professor X and Cerebro in its endgame against mutant-kind. See below.
After Wolverine gets a nightmare of his past when Wolverine was a Weapon X agent, Charles comforts him. This eventually makes Wolverine seek more information on his past, stopping Weapon X, Sabretooth, and rescuing one of the people he took under Weapon X's orders.
In the episode where Magneto breaks open Tildie Soames (a mutant who can turn into a giant red energy monster) from a MRD facility to kick-start a war between humanity and mutants. One of the X-Men admit that thanks to Charles' help, they know what will come of the war. This is another highlight of Charles' importance. Additionally, at the end of the episode, when Wolverine tells Charles that he (Wolverine) is no leader. Charles reminds Wolverine of how he reassembled some of the X-Men and rebuilt the school.
Empathized with Polaris after he finds out that she is still alive after all that's happened in the last 20 years. Despite Polatis' claims, not all humans were bad, and it's shown that the conflict between humans and mutants were what caused the destruction of the world. After this, Polaris gave the future X-Men a reconstructed sentinel from the past. The sentinel was named Rover by Marrow.
Informs Wolverine that destroying Master Mold in the past didn't do anything, and that it was possibly Master Mold survived. While it may seem like a corrupting factor due to possible harassment, it is not. Considering the fact that at the end of the episode, Master Mold was revealed to have transferred itself into a damaged sentinel. And that Charles was just warning them of the ever present threat.
Unlike Bishop, Charles understood Marrow's love for Rover.
Very late in the show, Charles informs Wolverine that the world ends in a week, he also finds out that Jean has something to do with the end of the world.
When the future Wolverine informs Charles that he should've trusted Emma Frost, Charles attempted to tell the past Wolverine to trust her. It's implied that the past Wolverine only trusted Emma because of this.
Makes a final stand against Master Mold with: Wolverine, Bishop, Marrow, Polaris, and a whole bunch of other people. Though this fails and Master Mold kills them all.
After the X-Men of the past stop the end of the world at the hands of the Phoenix. He informs them that Apocalypse took over the world. However, the series was cancelled, however, if it had continued, Charles would most certainly have made an effort to stop Apocalypse.
