Chloe Aubert or Chronoa and The Masked Hero is the overarching protagonist in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
A Summoned Otherworlder, she was a student of Shizue Izawa at Freedom Academy of Class S. However, following her death after she told Rimuru to consume her, Rimuru Tempest is tasked by her to take care of her and the rest of Class S as their new teacher. She eventually becomes the legendary Chosen Hero to defeat and seal the Storm Dragon, before the latter is freed by Rimuru in a complex chronology.
She is voiced by Azusa Tadokoro in Japanese and by Emily Neves in English, the latter of whom voices Eri from My Hero Academia and Aoi Tsubaki from Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Unlike a majority of the work's characters she lacks the Morally Grey, Lethal and Remorseless characters corrupting factors as she has no negative personality traits as she is a selfless noble person who does what is right.
- While she did have some corrupting qualities at the start, she would subvert all of them by the end.
- Although she did do some immoral actions it was due to her split-personality Chronoa going out of control giving her temporally agency issues or mind controlled by villains such as Feldway and Michael for a time but would show remorse once she breaks free.
- Despite the high admirable standards she easily stands out for her impact on the series for her stopping Veldora's destructive rampages and for her crucial role of supporting Rimuru Tempest against Feldway and Michael & their forces.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- She would attempt to save Rimuru Tempest in multiple failed timelines as his death would’ve triggered disastrous cataclysmic events that would’ve ravaged the Central World and was determined to prevent it from happening.
- She would warn Luminous Valentine of the Storm Dragon Veldora approaching her nation in the past managing to get everyone evacuated in time.
- She would put astop to Veldora from his destructive rampages where she would fight him and seal him away to prevent him from going on more destructive rampages. While it did isolate him and made him lonely she had no way of knowing it would happen.
- Her past younger self would help her fellow Class S members in dealing with Phantoms.
- In Hero Awakening, she would make to save Hinata Sagagahi from Granbell Rosso where she housed Hinata’s soul before time jumping to the past leading to her encounter with Luminous Valentine and sealing Veldora. Once back to present day events where while she did rampage it was due to her split personality Chronoa influencing her and would show remorse for her rampage once stabilized by Rimuru Tempest.
- She would warn Rimuru Tempest of the alternate future that the Eastern Empire would invade where it would lead to his death which would cause Veldora Tempest and Milim Nava to go on destructive rampages. This would allow Rimuru to be prepared to be able to win on time.
- When she got mind controlled by Feldway and Michael, while they tried to have her kill Masayuki Rudra Nam Ul Nasca she was able to resist it and avoid killing him.
- She would rescue Rimuru Tempest from Michael and play a role in defeating him.
- As of currently she is playing a major crucial role in dealing with the Army of Justice and remainer of Feldway’s forces.
Trivia[]
- She, Masayuki Rudra Nam Ul Nasca, Shinsha, and Sumire Makino are the only That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Pure Goods as everyone else either got corrupting factors, fails the admirable standards or both.
