Christopher Frederick James "Chris" Kratt, also simply known as Chris Kratt, is one of the main protagonists of the 2011 animated PBS Kids show Wild Kratts. He is a zoologist who helps in saving animals and loves learning about them as well.
He is voiced by and based on the real life Chris Kratt.

- He is always wanting to help nature and his animal friends.
- He wants to stop his archenemies Zach Varmitech, Donita Donata, Gaston Gourmand, and Paisley Paver from destroying or using nature to their own benefits.
Background[]
- Even when he was a kid, he still stood up for nature, as shown in a flashback in "Tazzy Chris", when he and Martin told Zach to stop using a bullfrog in his contraption when they were kids.
Season 1[]
- In "Mom of a Croc", he and Martin help convince Aviva that crocodiles aren't all violent.
- In "Whale of a Squid", they rescue a sperm whale from being trapped in a ghost net, and save her calf, named Bumper, from a giant squid.
- In "Aardvark Town", they help save a number of burrowing animals from Zach Varmitech when he wanted to test them to see if they could dig and then make the animal he chose, being an aardvark, dig a pool for him.
- In "Flight of the Draco", he helps save a bunch of Draco lizards and Martin from Donita and stops her from turning them into fashions and jewelry through suspended animation.
- In "Platypus Cafe", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking endangered platypus eggs and serving them to Donita and Gourmand.
- In "Polar Bears Don't Dance", he and Martin stop Zach Varmitech from kidnapping a polar bear cub and a walrus calf, and later stops him from kidnapping their mothers and making them fight each other to death.
- In "Build it Beaver", he, Martin, the rest of the Wild Kratts crew and a WIld Kratts kid named Aidan help rebuild a dam beavers had built earler that he had accidentally pulled apart when he wanted his paddle back, but ended up making another one in the end to make up for it.
- In "Voyage of the Butterflier XT", they help save Monarch Butterflies from Donita and Dabio and keep their life cycle going.
- In "Honey Seekers", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking badgers in to a dish.
- In "Bass Class", he and Martin and Aviva stop Zach from stealing Gavin's fishing trophy by initiating a fishing competition, which Zach looses in after cheating.
- In "Fireflies", he and Martin help stop Donita from using fireflies in her dress through suspended animation.
- In "Mystery of the Weird Looking Walrus", they stop Zach and Donita from stealing all the pearls in the ocean and save the walruses in the process.
- In "Tazzy Chris", he and Martin help stop Zach from making Tasmanian devils into his security bots.
- In "Octopus Wildkratticus", they help save their Creature Power Suits after Martin accidentally caused them to land in the water and sink down and end up deactivating an octopus who had activated both their creature power suits into something that looks like a sea monster but ended up being just a combination of lots of different animals the octopus had come into contact with and activated a power suit with them.
- In "Walk on the Wetside", he and Martin help stop Donita from turning basilisk lizards into a hat through suspended animation for her fashion competition in Paris.
- In "Elephant in the Room", he and Martin remove a thorn from an elephant's foot Martin named Thornsley, and later save Thornsley's mother from being stuck ina mud wallow.
- In "Let the Rhinos Roll", he helps save the Tortuga from being destroyed by Zach's rhino-dozers and frees the rhinos from Zach's mind control helmets.
- In "Kickin' it with Roos", he and Martin help retrieve the Createrra's keys he accidentally lost from a baby kangaroo.
- In "Falcon City", he and Martin stop Zach from cleaning off a falcon nest that happened to be on his skyscraper, saving the falcons in the process.
- In "Koala Balloon", he and Martin, despite being out on a sort of survive without technology challenge, save a koala from being stranded in the desert after Zach had set it loose with some balloons after he found it in his plane and returned it to the eucalyptus forest.
- In "Cheetah Racer", he and Chris stop Zach from winning in a race he was cheating in who would decide who was the best inventor between himself and Aviva by freeing the cheetah Zach had kidnapped to use in his machine.
- In "Kerhonk", he and Aviva help an injured proboscis monkey get better while Martin was leading the group of proboscis monkeys he had left behind.
- In "Mimic", he and Martin stop Donita from turning a cheetah cub Martin had named Blur into a hat through suspended animation.
- In "Caracal-Minton", he and Martin retrieved Aviva's ancestoral badminton birdie from a caracal that had mistaken it for prey.
- In "A Huge Orange Problem", they stop Zach from cutting down a rainforest when he wants a black wooded tree to make a side table out of.
- In "Seasquatch", he and Martin help save Jimmy's controller from the bottom of the ocean after it fell and sank there.
- In "Masked Bandits", he and Martin help shrink a racoon mother that had been enlarged by the miniaturizer and had escaped the Tortuga while the crew round up her kits.
- In "The Gecko Effect", he and the rest of the Wild Kratts stop Zach from stealing their technology with gecko powers.
- In "Little Howler", he and Martin help put back a wolf cub that had been hiding in Martin's backpack in his pack.
- In "Quilber's Birthday Present", he and Martin help stop Zach from using porcupines in his invention.
- In "Stuck on Sharks", he and Chris help stop Gourmand from making shark fin soup out of an endangered great white shark.
- In "Birds of a Feather", he and Martin help save Aviva and a bunch of birds of paradise from Donita and her plans to turn their feathers into a gown.
- In "Raptor Roundup", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking raptors from around the world.
Season 2[]
- In "Bad Hair Day", he and Martin help save Aviva, Martin, and Koki from twin lions that had infiltrated the Tortuga.
- In "Race for the Hippo Disk", he saves Zach from a hippo biting him in half, and later stops him from kidnapping a hippo calf named Hipster by Martin in exchange for Chris' Creature Power Disk Collection, which he filled with cookies to not give up his Creature Power Disks.
- In "Happy Turkey Day", he distracts Gourmand temporarily to stop him from hunting wild turkeys, but fails when Gourmand pours gravy on his Creature Power Suit while deactivated, but also helps later stop him without wild turkey powers by going with Gavin, Ronan, and Aidan and the rest of the Wild Kratts through a corn maze and getting Gourmand lost, also helping protect Martin in the process.
- In "Neck and Neck", he helps Martin get deactivated before helping retrieve all the pieces of technology that a giraffe named Necktie by Martin stole.
- In "Bugs or Monkeys", Chris tries to rescue Martin along with the rest of the WIld Kratts from a spider monkey Martin named Grabsy.
- In "Secrets of the Spider's Web", he and Martin stop Donita from using the silk of thousands of golden orb weaver spiders to make a dress, and later has Aviva send her artificial spider silk instead which Donita actually likes.
- In "Shadow: The Black Jaguar", he and Martin help rescue a black jaguar cub named Shadow by Martin and reunite him with his mother.
- In "To Touch a Hummingbird", he and Martin stop Gourmand from making chocolate hummingbird eggs.
- In "Rainforest Stew", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking various rainforest animals into dishes.
- In "Seahorse Rodeo", he and Martin stop Donita from turning seahorses into jewelry.
- In "Speaking Dolphinese", he helps save Martin and a dolphin they befriended from a great white shark when they were in danger of drowning, while also later saving Aviva and Koki from being lost in the depths of the sea when he told the dolphins using the Dolphin Decoder to use their feeding strategy to save the Ampi-Sub with Aviva and Koki inside.
- In "Aquafrog", they stop Zach's toxic waste from cleaning out his plane from causing the frog eggs in Frogwater Pond to mutate.
- In "Tortuga Tune Up", he and Martin retrieve the Tortuga's key from the bottom of the ocean, while also helping inspire Aviva to make the Tortuga be able to go underwater.
- In "Blowfish Blowout", he and Martin stop Aviva from turning a pufferfish into a hat.
- In "Rocket Jaw: Rescuer of the Reef", they stop Zach and Donita from destroying a coral reef and restore the coral reef with the help of a tape/bandage Aviva invented to help the coral heal.
- In "Snow Runners", he and Chris help rescue hispid hares they had accidentally let loose and found them.
- In "Attack of the Tree Eating Aliens", Chris saves Martin from being presumably eaten by a woodpecker when he was miniaturized.
- In "Rattlesnake Crystal", he and Martin both help save the Tortuga from a total meltdown by finding tellurium crystals in the Sonoran Desert; this is one instance where they really stand out because they help stop their main headquarters from being stuck permanently not working.
- In "Skunked!", he and Martin stop Zach from stealing their technology with his new Bubble Bot invention, before later finding their way back to the Tortuga and unstinking themselves, as it were.
- In "Gila Monster Under My House", he and Martin convince Javier that gila monsters are cool and he should like them, which they do convince him at the end of the episode, while also stopping Zach from turning a bunch of gila monsters into power wrenches.
- In "Desert Elves", he and Martin help find Koki and Jimmy and succeed.
- In "Groundhog Wakeup Call", he and the rest of the Wild Kratts wait out winter until spring comes for Aviva to wake up from hibernation in her Groundhog Creature Power Suit. He was restrained by Martin when he tried to deactivate her, but quickly changed his mind after hearing what a deactivation could do to Aviva.
- In "Journey to the Subnivean Zone", after Aviva accidentally destroyed it with one of her inventions, they all work together to help the Subnivean Zone regrow, in a way, as it needs snow to cover it, but in general they saved it and many voles from dying of cold.
Season 3[]
- In "The Hermit Crab Shell Exchange", he helps stop Gourmand from making "hermit crab poppers" out of hermit crabs.
- In "Bandito: The Black Footed Ferret", he and Martin stop Zach from making "Robber-bots" out of the ferrets to steal technology from the Tortuga.
- In "When Fish Fly", he and Martin have an argument between Aviva and Koki and after essentially insulting their technology prowess and decide to switch places, with them inventing and Koki and Aviva creature adventuring. They later make up for this by saving Koki from drowning after being stuck on a fish egg covered leaf she was stuck to and sum up what they learned concerning this and also about flying fish.
- In "Osprey", he and Martin help stop Zach from once again trying to steal their technology and even save an osprey chick named Fluffy Flier by Martin and even supports the decision to create an indestructible pedestal/"tree" for Fluffy Flier and his mother to nest on.
- In both parts of the special "Back in Creature Time", he and Martin help try to save the Dodo and Tasmanian Tiger from extinction, though ultimately fail as shown when they got back, and also even stop Zach from trapping them and Aviva back in time in his attempt to kill them. Before this, they are also seen helping a Philippine Eagle get better when her wing was hurt, showing they don't want currently extinct animals to go extinct.
- In "The Amazing Creature Race", he saves a pronghorn antelope from Zach and his attempt to make it into a runner bot.
- In "Prairie Who?", he saves Jimmy Z from a bison stampede and helps reunite the WIld Kratts crew after a tornado threw the Tortuga and everyone around and seperated them.
- In "Mystery on the Prairie" he and Martin try to save a cowbird's chick from what they thought was a bad situation, but when Chris realizes that it wasn't they end up having to take care of the chick until it matured but didn't complain.
- In "Crocogator Contest", they both help save Jimmy Z from the crocodile and alligator that were fighting below his makeshift tower he made to protect himself from them.
- In "Mosquito Dragon", he and Martin help stop Zach from hacking the Tortuga's computers with his Mosquito Bots.
- In "Slider: The Otter", he and Martin help reunite a river otter Martin named Slider with his family after Slider accidentally went onto a boat and went several hundred miles away to where the Wild Kratts just happened to be at the time.
- In "Search of the Florida Panther", he and Martin help reunite Florida panther cubs with their mother while Aviva helps heal the mother's wounds.
- In "Opossum in my Pocket", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking opossums into dishes and even retrieves Chris' backpack he had left in the forest.
- In "Praying Mantis", he and Martin help stop Zach from taking grasshoppers and creating mantis arms controlled by a praying mantis.
- In "Chameleons on Target", he and Martin beg Aviva to make a Chameleon Power Suit, and later accidentally destroy Aviva's ring chip invention for the Creature Power Suits, but feel remorse for this and help her feel better.
- In "Lemur Stink Fight" he and Martin help stop Donita from using ring tailed lemur scent in her new soap to sell.
- In "Aye-Aye", he and Martin help save a baby Aye-Aye named Goblin by Martin from the Tortuga's ventilation system.
- In "Lemur Legs", he and Martin help stop Gourmand from cooking Silky Sifaka Lemurs into "lemur legs amandine" after seeing through the trick with his fake Creature Rescues Gourmand created to distract them.
- In "Golden Bamboo Lemur", they help stop monkeys that were set loose by Donita Donata to drive the lemurs to extiction; she had done that just to distract them but managed to stop the monkeys just in time, and even stopped Donita from turning a golden bamboo lemur named Gold Puff by Martin into a part of a dress.
- In "Foosa-Palooza", he and Martin help stop Donita from turning lemurs into scarves for last minute Mother's Day shoppers. They also got their mother a gift for Mother's Day in the form of a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach in a terrarium since they couldn't get anything else and celebrated mother's day with her presumably.
Season 4[]
- In "The Last Largest Lobster", he and Martin stop Gourmand from cooking the "Last Largest Lobster" into a dish.
- In "Stars of the Tides", he and Martin compete for a shell they found on the beach, after which they later give it up to a crab without complaint after they realized it needed it more.
- In the Christmas special "A Creature Christmas", he and the Wild Kratts try to stop Zach, Donita, and Gourmand from using the Wild Kratts' baby animal friends as ornaments in Zach's robot Christmas tree; later, when the Wild Kratts were tricked by the villains and trapped on an icefloe to die, Martin takes out his Christmas present only to find out from Aviva it's their key to saving them, which Chris along with the others wholeheartedly support. After they return for the second time, he and Martin help keep the baby animals safe from the villains and Zach's Christmas Tree Robot and its attempt to flatten them. When they do end up rescuing their animal friends and the villains block their way, they call their animal friends names one by one and they stampede over to the villains. They later have their Christmas Party and Chris shows immense gratitude for his Christmas present from Aviva of a coupon for a working time trampoline some time in the future, afterwhich they all give Aviva a "World's Greatest Scientist" Award. They then fly back to Earth after their party.
- In "Box Turtled In!", he and the rest of the Wild Kratts crew help get the Tortuga reenlarged by the Miniaturizer after accidentally shrinking themselves and the Tortuga, and even stop Zach from trying to saw through the miniaturized Tortuga.
- In "The Other Martins", he has his day ruined after falling onto apples that were on the ground and loosing his Creature Power Suit to a squirrel, but later is cheered up by Aviva and tries to make his day better.
- In "Sea Otter Swim", he, Martin, Aviva and Koki help encourage Jimmy to learn how to swim, which led to him saving a baby sea otter from a bald eagle.
- In "Animals Who Live to be 100 Years Old", he and Martin help stop Zach from trying to live forever by kidnapping various animals with great longevities.
- In "Spirit Bear", he and Martin stop Paisley Paver from paving over "Bear Island" near Canada to build a mega storage no one would come to while learning about black bears and the not so known about Spirit version of the black bear.
