Damask is the character from the Marvel Comics: Defenders series. She, alongside Zaffer, had crash landed into the dimension of the Rose of Purity, who had cared for them and bestowed upon them an eternal paradise. In return, Damask and Zaffer provided the Rose peace and tranquility to maintain that paradise in this world and continued to do so for 100,000 years. However, when Amora the Enchantress wants to take the Rose, she blackmailed the Defenders by threatening Valkryie's life if they didn't do as she requested. Damask, the Rose, and Zaffer ended up in conflict with the Defenders after their arrival.

What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- Damask was an exceptional pacifist as she preferred to end fights peacefully rather than resorting to unnecessary violence. She is one of the rare examples which a pacifist managed to qualify in a superhero setting without needing to put up an actual fight.
- After the Rose of Purity had cared for them and gave them a paradise to live in after they crash landed Damask, along with Zaffer, returned the favor by demonstrating peace and tranquility for the Rose to stay strong for the next 100,000 years.
- When the Defenders arrived, she welcomed them to their dimension before the Hulk, Namor, and the Son of Satan started fighting with Zaffer, who was provoked into his old savage warrior ways when he fought back.
- She tried to reason with Hellcat that what they're doing is wrong, even though she was pushed aside, and when Hellcat tried to cut down the Rose, Damask stands in between them and blocked his sword from making contact with it. Without the Rose of Purity, the dimension would have been reduced to a barren wasteland as the Rose demonstrates by feigning its own death and Damask knew that this would happen and by protecting the Rose, she has protected its world. This action led the Defenders to realize that they were close to actually destroying an innocent world.
- After the Rose reveals itself to be alive all along, Damask forgave the Defenders for their actions when they knew that they weren't evil, but rather misled by Amora and offered to let them stay in their paradise forever, even though Dr. Strange reminds them that they still have to deal with Amora and save their ally Valkryie from meeting her end.
