Darius Bowman is the main protagonist of the DreamWorks and Netflix TV series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and its sequel series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.
He is a 13-year-old and one of the six campers at Camp Cretaceous and took his chance after he won in a video game when he got the invitation and is the one who is most excited about seeing the dinosaurs in person. Now stranded alongside the other five campers, he is trying to return home and return to his family, though they face many dangers along the way. He is Brandon Bowman's brother and Kenji Kon's best friend, later adoptive brother.
He is voiced by Paul-Mikél Williams.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- He is presented as the most dedicated apprentice among the Nublar Six, both to the members of the group and to protecting the dinosaurs from the very beginning.
- Darius tried to help his father and make him forget his illness, and after he died, he wore a necklace in his memory.
- After his death, he promises to come to the park as he promised, as well as wear a necklace in his memory.
- Although he has some playful moments in the first season, like chasing a herd of dinosaurs in a gyrosphere or sneaking away to watch Velociraptors, he undermines them later on.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous:[]
- Amazed at the presence of dinosaurs in the park and their preservation.
- He teaches his friends about dinosaurs.
- He accepts Kenji's guilt of jumping into the Velociraptor cage so they won't make Kenji leave.
- He looks after his friends after they left and instructs them how to behave in front of the dinosaurs.
- When Ben slips from the trailer, he tries to grab it tightly and is shocked when it falls, seemingly to his death.
- He saves his friends from Toro the Carnotaurus.
- Presses an alarm so the gang can escape the island, risking a Tyrannosaurus rex's nest.
- Convinces his friends to release three predatory Baryonyx along with several herbivorous dinosaurs from their cages.
- He prevents Mitch and Tiff from hurting the dinosaurs.
- He also sacrifices himself to stop Mitch and Tiff on his own, although the gang arrives to help him.
- Looking for ways with the gang to escape the island.
- Helps fix Mitch and Tiff's ship when it turns out to be damaged.
- Helps free the stranded Blue from being eaten by the Compsognathus.
- Helps Blue defeat the dangerous Scorpios rex.
- Presses Ben to join the gang when they leave the island, due to a sense of responsibility towards him.
- He and his friends obtain Dr. Henry Wu's computer device so that the latter will stop producing hybrid dinosaurs.
- He admittedly and reluctantly let Brooklyn remain Hawkes' prisoner if he didn't return the computer, although he certainly tried to free her.
- He helps his friends leave Isla Nublar.
- He jumps into the sea to avoid getting tangled in the seaweed of the ship's engine, and is almost eaten by a shark.
- He deceives Kash D. Langford so that the latter does not harm Dr. Mae Turner or the dinosaurs, sometimes risking his life.
- He is shocked by how Cash treats the dinosaurs and electrocutes them and tries to free them.
- He helps his friends imprison Cash.
- When he learns of Daniel Kon's actions, he is the first to act to stop his actions, despite being Kenji's father.
- He helps to drive most of the dinosaurs to the water holes, so that they are not controlled by Daniel and his men.
- He reunites "Big Eatie" with her daughter and is left shocked when the Spinosaurus almost kills her.
- He prevents Daniel Kon and Hawkes from taking the chip to Biosyn and together with his friends helps bring down Daniel.
- He and his friends save Mae from Cash's raptors and help bandage her.
- He and the gang sabotage the sale of the dinosaurs with Daniel Kon's chip.
- When he sees the Nothosaurus in the sewage, he helps lead it to the area of the swamp where it lives.
- He saves Brooklyn from the poisoning she suffered when she tried to stop the core.
- Helps Ben save Bumpy from hunters.
- He helps smuggle the hybrids away from Daniel and Cash.
- He forgives Kenji for abandoning him.
- He and his family adopt Kenji.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory:[]
- Joins the "Department of Prehistoric Wildlife" to protect humans against dinosaurs.
- Looking for explanations as to who murdered his best friend, Brooklyn.
- Helps Ben calm down a Nasutoceratops at a gas station, like saving the one who is getting gas from it.
- He and Ben warn Sammy of the dangers and save her from the Atrociraptors.
- He teams up with Kenji to investigate his father's actions, despite Kenji being furious with him and his father.
- He thanks Mateo for saving them and convinces Kenji not to hurt him.
- He and the rest of the gang expose Dudley Cabrera and his plans and defeat him.
- Despite his attitude towards them, Darius and the others are shocked by the way Dudley was killed by the Atrociraptors.
- Helps defeat the trainer and the Atrociraptors while rescuing other dinosaurs, including the Allosaurus that supposedly attacked Brooklyn.
- He decides to help his friends stop the broker after the latter is selling dinosaurs illegally.
- He helps Captain Lang's team, despite having ordered them to be arrested and even killed.
- Tries to return the stolen eggs to the group.
- He befriends Zayna and tries to acquire Geba.
- Helps the group locate Brooklynn in the laboratory in Senegal.
- He and his friends beg Brooklynn not to go with Soyona, but to no avail.
- Tries to talk to Barry after he picks them up on his plane, in order to cooperate against Soyona (although he mistakenly suspects Barry of their intentions).
- When Slick disappears, he and the rest of the group go to rescue him and save him from the Pyroraptor and Atrociraptors.
- He teams up with Ben and Yaz in an attempt to rescue Brooklynn from Soyona and arrest her.
- He and his friends rescue Barry after he is trapped under a pen, in Soyona's trap.
- He and the gang hold Soyona off alongside Brooklynn until French Intelligence stops her, thus saving Brooklyn from her.
- He and his friends decide to fly to the Biosyn Valley to stop Dodgson's plans.
