Death is the main protagonist of the web comic The Loving Reaper. He is the physical embodiment of death, but unlike most versions this death is kind and merciful to all living beings.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He takes an otter's spirit so it can see rain for one last time.
- He shows no ill will to animal abusers.
- He lets a black cat say goodbye to its owner.
- He lets a mother whale's spirit stay on earth until it's ready to move on.
- He comforts every animal's spirit, demonstrating that, in spite of being the Death, he isn't devoid of feelings or affection for living beings, especially animals.
- Death wishes he could've done good for all the animals that died tragically.
- Covers a dog with his cloak and stays with it until it dies.
- Death is saddened by the 2020 bush fire.
- While Death and Life are two complete opposites, he gets along exceptionally well with her.
- Despite his seriousness, his presence never makes the story darker.
- Death comforts a seagull chick's mother and assures her she wasn't a bad mother.
- Death comforted Life by allowing her to hold the soul of a dead toucan that she felt she failed to save.
- Death is really saddened when a family left their dog outside while it was snowing, ultimately causing his death.
