~ Gold the Tenrec |
Gold the Tenrec is a supporting character in the Sonic Universe comic book series by Archie Comics. She is a Mobian tenrec from an alternate reality, who wound up in the Prime Zone, two hundred years into the future, after her home was ravaged by the Second Devourer. She went on to become a member of the corrupt Onyx City Council, before turning rogue and becoming an ally to Silver the Hedgehog and Professor Von Schlemmer.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- Unlike the rest of the Onyx City Council, she is not fanatical or malicious in her goals. The only reason she joined them in the first place was due to them blackmailing her with stripping her of free will otherwise.
- When she realized that the council's research threatened the world's safety, she arranged a meeting with Silver in an attempt to warn him.
- Even as the Onyx Council forced her to open a Genesis Portal, she tried to warn them of the danger it posed.
- In spite of the abuse the councilmen inflicted on her, she was still horrified to see the Second Devourer petrify them.
- When Professor Von Schlemmer had trouble recalibrating the Bigger-Maker Machine to enlarge Silver, Gold assisted him by linking her minds with Schlemmer's, Silver's and the Bits', allowing their combined brainpower to finish the job and give Silver the strength necessary to defeat the Second Devourer and prevent it from petrifying the entire world.
- While characters like Sonic, Silver, Mega Man and Xander Payne outclass her in admirability, they all have bigger resources than her, and Gold usually uses hers to the fullest, only holding back when she is aware that she may bring doom upon everyone with them.
Trivia[]
- Gold is currently the only Sonic the Hedgehog character from Archie Comics to be Pure Good.
