Gou Kazama, also known as Guyferd, is a titular main protagonist of Seven Star Fighting God Guyferd. He is a martial arts who studied under the arts of Ken'nou-ryu alongside his older brother Masato. After discovering that his brother is kidnapped by the Crown and being exposed with Fallah and converted into Guyborg after getting captured as well, he gains the ability to transform into Guyferd and use his powers for greater good like searching for his brother and defeat Crown.
He is portrayed by Hiroyuki Kawai.
What makes him Pure Good?[]
- As a martial artist, Gou refused to used it for selfish and violent purposes and holds a pacifistic nature. He only does this when he had no other choice like fighting Mutians, Metalferds or Gaia Soldiers sent by Crown, with most of his killings are entirely justified since most of them are entirely dangerous and even make sure they won't ever harm anyone ever again.
- He deeply cared for his friends and family like Dr. Shiroishi, the Kujou siblings and even his older brother Masato. He would always be there to protect them from the Crown and keep them safe no matter what. Despite getting into arguements with Rei, especially at the beginning of the series, Gou still remains friendly towards her and not to mention it was played for laughs. Following his identity as Guyferd being exposed, they are now on friendly terms later on.
- Despite being exposed with Fallah and converted into Guyborg, it doesn't affect his moral agency too much and choose to use his powers for greater good, which is why he refused to let his emotions get the best of him and even reject Zodiac's offer to join the Crown.
- When a dojo instructor named Taki makes fun of his brother while searching for him, he only fought him in order to defend his brother. Though he humiliates Taki in front of his students after defeating him, it was clearly accidental instead of genuine and not to mention he really deserves it for badmouthing about his brother.
- After discovering that he received an advanced ability such as being able to transformed into Guyferd, he decided to use his powers for the greater good like rescuing his brother and defeating the Crown.
- Though he and Dr. Shiroishi agreed to keep his identity as Guyferd a secret, this is only to make sure keep anyone around him safe and sound. Following his identity being exposed by Shion in front of his allies, they later accepted him for who he is due to his good-hearted nature.
- Saved the Kujou siblings and Kido from being attacked by Dogross.
- After he went to Jimyo's temple to learn how to control his ki, he rescued Dr. Shiroishi and Rei from being held captive by Volgis and later fought the Mutian alone, while allowing his allies to defuse the bomb and prevent it from blowing up the dam.
- He, Dr. Shiroishi and Rei went to the Crown facility to rescued Yuu, his classmates and his teachers from being horrifically experimented on by the Crown.
- While the Kujou siblings are training, he told them to never complain to Dr. Shiroishi and telling them training could make them stronger while offering them drinks.
- Despite initially being skeptical to Detective Nakano after he first met, he later accepts him as one of his ally after Gilpulse is defeated.
- Saving Detective Nakano from being brainwashed by Gilpulse by knocking him down.
- Discovering that the rest of G-Force army is being captured by the Crown and seeing that his brother is at the victims list, he went to their base to rescue several prisoners, including his brother, from being horrifically experimented on.
- After reuniting with his brother, he and Masato went to the Crown's lighthouse headquarters to stop them.
- After Masato reveal his true nature to him, he refused to fight him when he was challenged due to still cared for him. When Masato transforms into Deathferd, he later had no choice but to fought him as he refused to stop him.
- Despite everything Masato has done to him, he later mourned over his supposed death after Crown's lighthouse headquarters is blown up. Despite being depressed over it, he still remained optimistic and hopeful instead of letting his grief and sadness consumed him. When he was manipulated by Zodiac into joining the Crown by letting his emotions gets the best of him, Gou refused his offer to be tempted and instead calling him out for such horrific acts against the entire humanity, which Zodiac agreed to leave him alone but only out of pragmatism.
- Saved Dr. Shiroishi and Detective Nakano from being attacked by the group of Fangs and revealing the Crown's plan to spread the Fallah all around the world.
- Help Dr. Shiroishi and Detective Nakano to search for Fallah at the warehouse.
- Saved Rei from being held hostage by Metal Shion but failed to prevent her from injuring Rei. After Dragos is defeated, he and his allies later visit Rei at the hospital.
- Saved Dr. Shiroishi and Detective Nakano from getting killed by Dragos.
- Discovering that Rei and her friend Saori are being brainwashed by the Crown, he went to the building to save the rest of students from being brainwashed and managed to snapped Rei from being brainwashed by using his ki.
- Rescued Yuu, Mayumi and Professor Kurokawa from being captured by the Crown.
- Though he refused to help Misa Sudo about the information of the Crown, it's because he believed that she will spread false information to the media.
- Despite Guyborg GX-9 attacked him and Misa, he doesn't treated him as an enemy, tried to reasoned with him when he's being forced to fight against him and expressing sympathy towards him as he was blown up to death.

- He only avenge Guyborg GX-9 by fought with Metal Master after he brutally injured him.
- He and Dr. Shiroishi went to the hospital to warn Ayako that the Crown is going after the sample of Fallah.
- Saving Ayako from being attacked by Globe and becomes horrified when Hiroshi is getting injured during their fight.
- Agreed to protect Ayako while Dr. Shiroishi went to retrieve the blood supply trapped in a landslide.
- Attempt to stop Metal Master from stealing a Fallah sample.
- Saved Dr. Shiroishi, Detective Nakano and Ayako from being attacked by Globe.
- Though he became angry at Dr. Shiozawa, this is because he is an arrogant and greedy person who doesn't care about anyone but himself and believed selling the Astronium would make him rich. He later became furious at him for killing Metal Shion without second thoughts, knowing she doesn't deserved this way and what he did makes him a complete coward who's afraid of his life being taken away.
- Despite being enemies with her, he does expresses sympathy towards Metal Shion for losing her mother and attempt to convince her to spare Dr. Shiozawa out of vengeance and vendetta towards him. After Shion dies from gunshot wound, he later mourns her death as he holds her corpse. However, it is implied that he seems to forgive her after she deactivated the shield to allow him to destroy the device to prevent the Fallah from being spread around the world.
- After destroying Metal Master, he went to the Crown's underground base to destroy the device, thus preventing them from spreading Fallah all around the world.
- Discovering that the Crown is planning to activate the Gaia Net to exterminate the entire humanity and replace them with creating a superior beings, he and his allies would do anything to prevent three artifacts from falling into the wrong hands. While failed to retrieve the first two, the last one, Dragon Crystal is fused inside his body, thus keeping it safe as result.
- He and his allies mourned his old master Jimyo as he dies succumbing from his wound after he was attacked by Rudra.
- He and his allies went to a historical museum in order to get help to decipher the codes of the polaris documents.
- Becomes angry at Hattori for hurting Professor Murakoshi after sending the data of polaris document to the Crown, while discovering his true nature.
- Saved his allies and the others from being attacked by the Crown.
- Discovering that the Crown is going after the Seven Star Sword from Kubota, he and Dr. Shiroishi offering to be her bodyguard to keep her safe.
- Though he and Dr. Shiroishi broke into the bank to retrieve the Seven Star Sword, this was only to make sure the Sword wouldn't get into the Crown's hands instead of stealing the money just like the common bank robbers do, showing they're clearly not greedy.
- He, Dr. Shiroishi and Rei went to rescued Yuu from being kidnapped by a thief who stole the Seven Star Sword.
- Saved Yuu and the thief from being attacked by Minos and attempt to keep the Seven Star Sword away from him and the Fangs.

- Seeing how lonely she is, he went to talk to Rika and have a heart-to-heart conversation, which she became trustful enough to help him and his allies find the Dragon Crystal and prevent it from falling into the Crown's wrong hands.
- Went to fought Django while managed to snatch the Dragon Crystal away from him. He tried to keep the crystal away from Django until he got shot in the back by his Thunder Cross before he teleports away to another dimension.
- His good-hearted and pacifistic nature allowed him to fuse himself with the Dragon Crystal inside his body, leading him to be revived and regained his ability to transformed into Guyferd.
- Saving his allies from being attacked by Django and the group of Fangs.
- Decided to face the Crown alone by himself and not getting his allies involved to keep them safe due to the Dragon Crystal being fused inside him.
- After his brother returned to help him defeat Ranghoul and Guyborg together, he began to accept Masato as one of his allies and quickly forgive him despite the fact he challenged him to a fight before.
- While he and Dr. Shiroishi went to search for Masato, he went back to their apartment room to discover that Rei became unconcious after getting attacked by Valcanon and sacrifice the half of his ki to revive her, unaware that's what Gaia Soldier is planning to do.
- Went to rescue Yuu from being held hostage by Valcanon and agreed to surrender himself when being threatened for his life.
- After he was revived again with the help of his allies, he returned and transformed into Guyferd to teamed up with Deathferd to destroy Zodiac together once and for all.
- He and his brother Masato went back to the Crown's Mt. Fuji headquarters to stop the Gaia Net from destroying the world and wipe out the entire humanity, with him sacrificing himself to deactivate the device while blowing up alongside his brother inside.

- He is the only Seven Star Fighting God Guyferd hero to be Pure Good, which makes him the opposite of Zodiac, who is the only Pure Evil in the series.
