Greater Lord Rukkhadevata is a posthumous major protagonist of the action roleplaying game Genshin Impact. She was the original Dendro Archon of Sumeru, and predecessor to Lesser Lord Kusanali.
She is voiced by Mufei in the Chinese version, and Chloe Eves in the English version, the latter being known as a vocalist for DAGames.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- Forged an alliance with the Seelie survivor Nabu Malikata and King Deshret who was sharing his throne with her during the Archon War to create the landscape of Sumeru.
- While she had to break ties with Nabu Malikata and King Deshret shortly before the Archon War, it was for a good reason as they plan to utilise Forbidden Knowledge to overthrow Celestia, which is extremely dangerous and unstable in effect.
- After the first Hydro Archon, Egeria died in Tunigi Hollow during the Archon War, she grew the Harvisptokhim, a large tree in the Vorukasha Oasis with her remains.
- Sacrificed the Khvarena Simurgh who was given to her by Nabu Malikata to drink the Amrita from Egeria’s remains after it was impacted by Abyssal corruption, creating the Pari who fought with the one-armed sage Nagarjuna, Dainsleif and a group of sages who would form the Order of the Skeptics during the cataclysm. It is never implied that she took any enjoyment from having to sacrifice her Khvarena, and she had to do so to remove the Abyss’ defilement on the Amrita.
- Created the Varuna Contraption and the Aranara to restore the forest after it was turned into a desert by the Divine Nail at Mt. Damavand, eventually establishing the Dharma Forest region and building Sumeru City on the Divine Tree.
- When King Deshret resorted to forbidden knowledge to restore his city, she gather the refugees from his civilizations and instruct them to build Aaru Village as their last bastion. To suppress the forbidden knowledge, she sacrificed her original body, reverting into a smaller form.
- Unlike the rest of the Archons fighting in the Cataclysm, she never took part in the battle, instead focusing on protecting Irminsul from the surging Forbidden Knowledge.
- Before reincarnating as Buer, she created Akasha System to connect the wisdom of all her people and use their dreams to find a way to eliminate the threat of Forbidden Knowledge, which was the Scarlet King's original idea before his downfall, and used all her strength to clear the forbidden knowledge which had went into Irminsul.
- Reincarnated into and created Buer from a pure branch of Irminsul to continue her mission in stopping the corruption of forbidden knowledge.
- In her final memory, instructs Buer to erase her from Irminsul to remove all traces of her consciousness and history since her remains were all tainted with Forbidden Knowledge.
- The erasure of Rukkhadevata from Irminsul leads to the erasure of Eleazar from existence and stops the formation of new Withering Zones, which are created by elemental life forms becoming tainted with Forbidden Knowledge.
