It's easy to feel hopeful on a beautiful day like today, but there will be dark days ahead of us too, and they'll be days where you feel all alone, and that's when hope is needed most, no matter how buried it gets, or how lost you feel, you must promise me, that you will hold on to hope. Keep it alive, we have to be greater than what we suffer. My wish for you, is to become hope, people need that, and even if we fail, what better way is there to live. As we look around here today, and all the people who helped make us who we are, I know it feels like we're saying goodbye, but we will carry a piece of each other, into everything we do next, to remind us of who we are, and if we're meant to be. I've had a great four years with you, I'll miss you very much.
~ Gwen's speech

Gwendolyne Maxine "Gwen" Stacy is the deuteragonist of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man film series.

She was the classmate and girlfriend of Peter Parker and the daughter of police captain George Stacy.

She is portrayed by Emma Stone.

What Makes Her Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • While Peter had corrupting qualities, such as arrogance, jerkishness, and mischievousness (until No Way Home), Gwen has none of these and remains kind throughout.
  • Unlike Peter, Gwen doesn't need to be compared to the MCU Admirable Standards since she never crossed over to the MCU, so she stands out.

The Amazing Spider-Man[]

  • She defended Peter when Flash picked on him and commended the former for standing up for another student being bullied by the latter.
  • She kept Peter's secret identity as Spider-Man.
  • She evacuated the Oscorp building before The Lizard breaks in to steal the toxin and stayed behind to finish the antidote.
  • She helped Peter cure Doctor Connors and stop him from turning everyone in New York City into lizards.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2[]

  • Though she was initially angry with Peter for breaking up with her out of fear for her safety, she eventually understood that this is what her father would have wanted.
  • She was the only scientist in Oscorp who was nice to Max before he became Electro.
  • When Peter offered to accompany Gwen to England and wanted to be together again despite the danger, she accepted and greatly appreciated the gesture.
  • She hits Electro with a police car to save Peter against his wishes.
  • Along with Peter, she stops Electro from draining all the power from the city by overloading his electricity supply, though they didn't mean to kill him.
  • After her death, her valedictorian speech posthumously inspired Peter to resume his superhero work after five months of retirement.
