Hana Yurikawa is the deuteragonist of the horror-comedy webcomic series Mieruko-chan, as well as its manga and anime adaptations.
She is the best friend of the protagonist of the series, Miko Yotsuya, who provides her with much emotional support. Hana's powerful aura that completely eclipses her body had the ability to incinerate lesser ghosts, uberknowst to Miko herself. However, this has led to more malevolent entities hunting down Hana for her energy and her condition massively worsens and leaves her in a sickly state once it begins to run out. This leads to her having to eat more in order to replenish said energy (all the while not gaining any weight in the process due to the spirits ingesting the energy of the food she consumes).
She was voiced by Kaede Hondo in Japanese version and by Sarah Wiedenheft in English version.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- Supporting Miko during times of need.
- Saving a young boy's dog in spite of her being fearful to run into the alleyway it was lost in to do so.
- Stopping a man from committing suicide and convincing him to continue living.
- Forgiving Michiru Ichijou even when the latter was actively trying to kill her to have Miko all for herself, and redeeming Michiru with her kindness and compassionate nature.
