The Hero of Tython (also known as the Hero of Coruscant) was a Jedi Master who rose up to challenge and ultimately defeat the Sith Emperor Vitiate during the Cold War between the Republic and the Sith Empire. One of the four members of Coruscant Aegis.
However, the Hero of Tython disappeared around the time of the Eternal Empire's emergence in 3637 BBY, and the Battlemaster returned five years later as the Outlander when the Alliance formed against the Eternal Empire.
As male, they were voiced by David Hayter. As female, they were voiced by Kari Wahlgreen.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- The Developers of Star Wars: The Old Republic confirmed, mainly through the gameplay trailers that the light sided Hero of Tython is the canon main character of the game story. This had already been established by the fact that even before the game came out, they were indirectly mentioned by Lord Scourge in the Revan Novel.
- The very compassionate, even as a padawan they helped all other padawans that had been injured by the Flesh Raiders.
- They forgive the Twileks for attempting to betray and kill him in Kalikori.
- They treated their droid, T7-O1 with respect.
- They spared the life of Bengel Morr (the fallen former padawan of Orgus Din) after he had kidnapped Orgus Din and attempted to kill him and the Hero. They even managed to turn Bengel Morr back to the light.
- They attempt to reason with Tarnis, even after it was revealed that he's secretly a Sith and the son of Darth Angral before killing him in self-defense.
- They accept Kira Carsen as their padawan quickly and grew very fond of her.
- Even after discovering Kira's dark past on Dromund Kaas and as a sith, he understood and stoop up for her when telling the Jedi Council.
- They want to spare and reason with all of Darth Angral's followers, including Lord Nefarid, Lord Praven and Lord Sadic (who turned himself into a killing machine and tried to kill him twice)
- They even succeeded in turning Lord Praven to the light side and made him become a Jedi Padawan.
- They didn't even want to kill Darth Angral, who had previously killed their master, Orgus Din.
- After defeating Lord Scourge, they didn't kill him, even though they didn't know his intentions at that point.
- When they were controlled and brainwashed by the Emperor, they still couldn't get themself to torture Kira. They also managed to break free from the control along with Orgus Din.
- They even tried to convince Vitiate to turn to the light side after beating his weakened body.
- Despite having waged war against them all his life, they were willing to ally with the Sith for the greater good, first against Revan and later against the Eternal Empire.
- They accepted leadership of the Alliance without hesitation, willing to prioritize saving the galaxy over finding their lost comrades.
- They turned Arcann away from the dark after defeating him, even though the latter had done so much harm to them and their friends in the past.
- They were able to resist the temptation of claiming the Eternal Throne, only doing so when it was necessary to cease the Eternal Fleet’s rampage after the death of Vaylin.
- They spared Darth Malgus on multiple occasions.
