Hikaru Raido is the main protagonist of the 2013 Tokusatsu series, Ultraman Ginga, the 23rd entry in the Ultraman franchise. He is the human host of Ultraman Ginga and the arch enemy of Dark Luguiel
What Makes Him Pure Good[]
Ultraman Ginga (Episodes 1-6)[]
As Himself[]
- In the beginning of episode 1, he saved Musuzu Isurugi before she was about to crash into a tree while stuck in a moving wagon.
- During his battle against Thunder Darambia (as Black King), he briefly tried encouraging Musuzu to leave so that she wouldn’t get hurt, even at one point using himself as a shield so when Daramabia started shooting lighting.
- In the beginning of episode 2, he saved Misuzu from being ran over by Yagami
- Upon witnessing Taro save him and Musuzu from Yagami, he later thanked him before letting him explain the history of the Ultras and the land of light
- Upon learning that Musuzu had left on her own, he Immediately went to go find her to make sure she was safe
- Near the climax of episode 2, he managed to save Musuzu from Yagami agin, this time while the latter was in his Kemur man form
- During the climax, he Ultlived into Kemur-man to try and put out fire that Yuka had started in one of the school rooms.
- Upon noticing that he, Musuzu, and Chigusa had unintentionally made Kenta feel left out of their group, he and the two girls instantly began going after him to reassure him that this wasn’t the case.
- Later in the episode, he managed to snap Kenta out of Alien Valkie’s influence and prevent him from being manipulated into Darkliving into Doragory
- During the end of episode 6 and the beginning of episode 7, he tried to encourage Tomoya to run to safety as Tiga Dark was about to blast them and kill them
- In attempt to make Tomoya feel accomplished at something for once, he suggested fighting him and Ginga as Jean-Nine so that he would feel happier at achieving a goal. Ironically though, by doing this, he indirectly led to Tomoya eventually redeeming himself
As Ginga[]
- In the first half of the series, he spent the majority of it freeing a bunch of humans who had been corrupted by Alien Valkie with the Dark Spark into Darkliving into various monsters (or committing other evil acts)
- In episode 1, he managed to free Yamada and Kimura, the Darklive users of Dundee Darambia
- In episode 2, he managed to free Yagami, the Darklive user of Kemur-man
- In episode 3, he managed to free Yuka Suguo, an old senior who went to who had Darklive user of King Pandon
- In episode 4, he managed to free Chigusa, the dark live user of Ragon
- In episode 5, he managed to free Tomoya
- During his fight with Yuka, he briefly went out of his way to call her out for trying to ruin Kenta waturi’s dreams of becoming a photographer while also expressing sympathy for her for feeling lonely.
- In episode 5, he helped Taro escape from Jean-Killer/Jean-Nine
- In episode 6, him and Tomoya managed to defeat Alien Valkie and Dark Tiga
Ultraman Ginga Theater Special[]
As Himself[]
- Out of fear that there were be more enemies in the future, he chose to stay with his friends rather than going to England to meet his parents
As Tiga[]
- Near the climax, he helped Tomoya defeat Alien Icarus
As Ginga[]
- By the climax of the special, he was ultimately able to defeat Dark Zagi and prevent him from killing Tomoya
- When asked by Tomoya, why he chose to save him, he responded by saying he was simply repaying him for when he saved him earlier in the during the first half of the series.
Ultraman Ginga[]
As Himself[]
- Upon realizing that his Ultilive had been stolen, he briefly attempted to lure Zaragas away from the school to prevent him from killing his friends
- With the help of Ginga, he managed to go inside Misuzu head and help free her from the Dark Spark’s corrupting influence
- As Ginga and Taro left, he thanked them for helping him defeat Lugiel before later wishing them goodbye.
As Ginga[]
- Like in the first half of the series, he spent the second half once again freeing a bunch of humans from the Dark Spark’s corrupting influence, this time from Alien Nackle Gray
- In episode 7, he managed to defeat Tsuyoshi Osata, the Darklived user of Dark Galberos
- In episode 8, he managed to free Shingo Kuwabara, the Darklive user of Zaragas
- In episode 9, he managed to free Seiichiro Isurugi, the Darklive user of Dark Ultraman/Ultraseven
- During his fight Seiichiro, he briefly began calling him out for seemingly betraying his daughter’s trust
- In episode 10, him and Misuzu managed to defeat Alien Nackle Gray
- In episode 11, he managed to defeat Dark Lugiel. Because of this, he was ultimately able to free all the Ultras and Kaiju throughout the multiverse that he had turned into Spark Dolls during the Dark Spark War. Additionally, by doing this, he was also able to prevent him from freezing time itself.
Ultraman Ginga S[]
As Himself[]
- In a attempt to stop Shepardon from potentially hurting Arisa and Gouki, he used UPG’s cars to lure him away.
- Upon noticing that Sho was the Ultraman that he saw in a vision when he touched one of the crystals, he immediately began going after him to help him.
- While talking Sho in episode 1, he briefly gave him a candy bar after noticing he was hungry
- Additionally, during this scene, he was only trying to show him the beauty of the surface world.
- During the climax, he briefly attempted to help Arisa and Gouki when they were stuck under some rouble.*Following his battle with Sho, he later agreed to join UPG to defend Earth after being offered it by the crew members.
- Upon noticing that a bunch of debris was going to fall on Sho, he instantly pushed him away so that he wouldn’t get killed
- Upon being asked by Sho why he chose to save him, he responded by saying he felt he had to and that even though their burdens were different, there’s goals were essentially the same.
- After this, he later began properly introduced himself to him before later giving another him another candy bar
- Despite being injured during his fight with imperializers, he still went out of his way to help out Arisa and Gouki when they went to go fight against the Imperializers and Alien Guts Vorst
- During the end of episode 3, he gave Sho a King Joe spark doll so that he could use it to help him fight in future battles
- Additionally, before leaving to meet up with Arisa and Gouki, he went out of his way to reasure him that he wasn’t alone and that UPG and the Ultra brothers were his allies.*During his conversation with Sho I’m episode 4, he at one point admitted to him that he got his strength from his friends and his desire to protect them
- By the climax of episode 4, he ultimately helped Sho understand the true value of having strength and the concept of teamwork. Because of this, Sho eventually changed*At the end of episode 4, he gave him a Spark doll of Sadora.
- Upon noticing that a mysterious woman was following Sho in the woods, he instantly began following them to protect him.
- Upon meeting Sho in the woods, he briefly gave a chocolate bar while the two went searching for the mysterious woman.
- At the end of episode 6, he gave Hyori a chocolate bar as she and Sho went to return back underground.
- Under Misuzu’s request, he helped Android One Zero “Mana’ fight against a bunch of Chiburoids during the climax of episode 9.
- He was the first one to be against the idea of using the Victorium Canon after the UPG commander revealed it to them.
As Ginga[]
- In episode 1, he managed to free Arisa and Gouki from under some rouble and later defeat Android One Zero (who had monslived into EX Red King).
- Throughout his battle with Sho in the beginning of episode 2,he spent the majority of it trying to reason with and talk him out of fighting.
- During his battle against the Imperializers in episode 3, he at one point used himself as a shield when their blast were about to hit Arisa, Gouki, Sakuya, and Repi
- At the climax of episode 3, he managed to defeat a bunch of Imperializers and defeat Alien Guts Vorst (who had monslived into King Joe), all while saving Sho in the process.
- In the climax of episode 4, he saved Repi and Arisa from getting killed by Gudon. Because of this, Repi was later able to give Sho the spark doll of King Joe and help him defeat Gudon.*In episode 5, he defeated Yapool
- In addition to this, he also managed to free Gouki from Yapool’s possession.
- In episode 6, he managed to help Hyori let go of her hatred towards the Victorians and redeem herself
- In episode 7, he helped Sho defeat Alien Guts Vorst while he was in the forms of Gan Q and Fire Golza
- Additionally, during the battle, he at one point saved Captain just as he was about to fall of UPG’s base
- In episode 8, him and Sho managed to defeat Alien Chibu Exceller while he was in the form of Five King
- In episode 9, In episode 9, him and Sho managed to defeat Vorst while he was in the form of Bemular and Bemstar
- In episode 10, him and Sho defeated Vorst while he was in the forms of Velokron and Doragory
- In episode 11, him and Sho managed to defeat Alien Akumania Muerte and revert Yoshida back into a human after he had been mind controlled by the former into monsliving into Gan-Q*In episode 12, him, Sho, and Alien Metron Jace managed to defeat Vorst while he was in the form of Zoa Muruchi
- In episode 13, he managed to shield the members of UPG from a blast coming from Vorst
- In episode 14, him and Sho defeated Alien Zetton
- In episode 16, him and Sho managed to defeat Dark Lugiel/ Lugiel. By doing this, he was once again able to prevent him from freezing time itself.
Ultraman Ginga S The Movie: Showdown! The Ultra 10 Warriors![]
As Himself[]
- As his crew mates were celebrating his return form his one year trip, he later began introducing them to stuff he got while traveling.
- Under Sho’s advisory, he took Arina into UPG’s base so that he could protect her from Etelgar as he was fighting against Zero.
- While inside, he briefly attempted to comfort her as she was freaking out.
- Upon finishing his training with Zero,he later contacted Musahani to inform him that he and Sho had learn how to overcome their fears. Because of this, his crew mates were later able to use this advice to their advantage to escape from Arina's fear-inducing illusions. Additionally, because of this advice, his crew mates were later able to free all the Ultras that Etelgar had kidnapped and imprisoned throughout the course of the movie (ie Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, Cosmos, Nexus, Max, and Mebius)
- By combining together with Sho, they were ultimately able to create Ginga Victory.
- By the climax of the film, he was ultimately able to help Arena break free from Etelgar’s influence .
As Ginga Victory[]
- Upon becoming Ginga Victory, the first thing he (and the others) did was defeat the Etelgar dummy of Lugiel.
- During the climax, him, Ginga, and Sho (as Ginga Victory) defeated Etelgar. By doing this, all of them were ultimately able to prevent him from conquering the multiverse.
- Following this, all 3 of them began assisting the other Heisei ultras in destroying Etelgar’s base

- In episode 12, him, Ace, Leo, and Astra managed to defeat Super Grand King

- Upon hearing Daichi doubt his dream of wanting humanity and Kaiju to coexist as foolish, he reassured him that it wasn’t and that it was actually great, even going so far as to bring up other Ultras who had worked with monsters as proof.*As him, Sho, and Arisa were saying goodbye and expressing gratitude to Daichi for helping them, they briefly encouraged him to follow his dream.

- In episode 13, he defeated Gina and Mold’s army
As Ginga Victory[]
- In episode 14, him and Sho managed to help Daichi and X defeat Gina and Mold and prevent them from using the spark dolls (of X’s universe) to conquer to universe.

- In the climax, he defeated a Tsurugi Demaaga that was attacking Chicago, USA.
- During the end of the film, him and the other Heisei ultras all thanked X, Ultraman, and Tiga before leaving.

- Prior to the events of the film, he and the rest of the new gen Ultras all sacrificed their ability to transform by temporarily sealing Grimdo.
- Upon learning that the seal him and the other new gen ultras had casted on him was about to break and that it was about to head towards Taiga, he and the others immediately went to go help him
As Ginga Victory[]
- By fusing together with X/Daichi, Orb, Geed, Katsumi/Russo, Isami/Blu, Asahi/Griego, Titas, Fuma, and Taiga, him and Sho/Victory were ultimately able to help them create Ultraman Reiga and defeat Grimdo and Tregear for good.
