Hubert "Huey" Duck is one of the deuteragonists of the 2017 DuckTales reboot series. He is the oldest of Della Duck's triplet sons, who is the smartest and most strategic of them.
He was voiced by Danny Pudi.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Even when he is annoyed by his uncle's overprotectiveness, Huey is the only nephew who actually respects him and even supports him. This is also shown when Donald is insulted by Louie in "The House of Lucky Gander!".
- He, along with Dewey, Louie and Webby, helped Scrooge regain his adventurous spirit.
- While he was willing to let Falcon Graves drop Mark Beaks to his death at first, Huey quickly changes his mind after Dewey convinces him that they should help him.
- After learning that their journey in "The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!" is just Scrooge's shot at revenge towards George Mallardy for abandoning him, Huey calls him out for his recklessness and advocates the group return to the resort.
- He was the only one who convinced Scrooge to give up his pride and vengeance against George Mallardy.
- Despite being furious at Dewey for keeping a secret about their mother, Huey decides to forgive him and joins his quest to find out more about Della.
- Although he and his brothers we're angry at Scrooge for building the Spear of Selene and preassembly getting their mother lost in space, and even leaving him alone again. They later made up for this and saved him from Magica de Spell. Thus, even reconciling with him.
- He helped Louie overcome his fear of adventuring.
- While he did manipulate Scrooge to help Donald lie about his successful future, this was to help his Uncle Donald realize that he wasn't a failure.
- He helped Lena prevent Magica from regaining her full powers.
- He, along with his family, saved the Earth from Lunaris' invasion.
- Although he was initially jealous of Violet being a better Junior Woodchuck than him. Huey later accepts it and allows her to become a Senior Woodchuck instead of himself. Knowing that he'll become Senior Woodchuck later on in the future.
- He helped B.O.Y.D. erase Akita's corruption from him and revealed Dr. Akita's true intentions to Gyro, where he rebels against the evil scientist.
- He was the only one who actually discovered Bradford's true nature.
- Despite being suspicious of Gandra at first, Huey later agrees to help her.
- He prevented Mark Beaks from taking over the Gizmo Cloud along with Fenton, Gandra, Gyro and Ma.
- When Webby is captured by F.O.W.L., Huey imminently goes after them to rescue her.
- After learning that Bradford is going to destroy their family and every adventure, Huey attempts to go warn his family before being captured by Bradford.
- Despite May and June working for F.O.W.L., Huey forgives them.
- He and his family saved the world from Bradford and prevented him from killing Scrooge.
- Despite having moments where he's mischievous and acts like a jerk, Huey later subverts this in the series finale.
Trivia[]
- He used to be considered Near Pure Good due to it being thought that he still had corrupting factors, however, upon being re-evaluated, it was realized that he managed to subvert all of his corrupting qualities, thus leading to his approval for the Pure Good wiki.
- He's the only Duck triplet to be Pure Good, as Dewey and Louie are Near Pure Goods.
