What Makes Him Pure Good[]
- While he shows himself to be spoiled and lazy in the beginning, he subverts it by the end.
- Even if he didn't like the idea to go to Smeerensburg, given him by his dad, he still went there.
- He shows concern about Klaus after he inadvertently discovers his family tree and therefore upsetting him.
- He helps Margu forge a letter to Klaus and resolves to make the sled by himself before Klaus stepped in to help, and with Klaus's help, delivers it to Margu, despite nothing in it for him. And when he sees how happy Margu is about her gift, he discovers the joy of bringing toys to kids and seeing the joy it brings them, leading him to adopt Klaus's philosophy, "A true act of good will always sparks another."
- When he discovers how his letter delivery plan has inadvertently made Smeerensburg a better, happier place, he starts to consider staying there to keep the joy alive.
- When his dad comes to visit him, Jesper chooses to stay, having grown to love bringing joy and happiness back to Smeerensburg.
- He does his best to save the toys from being destroyed and was completely surprised that the toys he was trying to save are just firewood in gift-warp, which redeems him in front of Klaus and Alva.
- His actions prevent the war in Smeerensburg, saving many lives, and even results in Olaf and Pumpkin marrying, ending the feud between the Krums and the Erringboes.
- When Klaus vanishes, Jesper continues to bring the happiness to people of Smeerensburg.
