What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Siding with Kaede to defend Shuichi during the first trial when the latter's silence throughout the case caused the other students to accuse him of being Rantaro's murderer.
- Showing immense shock and sorrow upon witnessing Kaede's execution at the hands of Monokuma.
- Trying to comfort Gonta when he was revealed to be the culprit of Miu's murder in chapter 4.
- When the execution in Chapter 5 sent large chunks of debris flying, he jumped in front of the others to protect them, at risk to his own safety.
- When his ahoge that was responsible for giving him orders from the outside was knocked off during Kaito's execution, he decided to destroy the school using the weapons in his lab in order to free the students from the despair of killing game, even though doing so would likely kill him in the process.
- When Shuichi tried to persuade him to hold off on destroying the school until the students could find another way out, K1-B0 agreed and gave him and the others until dawn to find an alternate escape route.
- Assisting Shuichi and the others in their mission to find a different way out of the school.
- He, along with Monokuma, agreed to start up another class trial so Shuichi could piece together the new evidence he found in order to determine what really happened during the first case and uncover the mastermind of the killing game.
- When Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko broke down upon learning the truth about why they were in the killing game, he tried to reassure them that they could still make it out if they believed in each other and didn't lose hope.
- Going against the audience's influence that was guiding most of his decisions throughout the game when Shuichi pointed out that if they wanted the killing games to end for good, they had to refrain from voting since doing so would only play into the hands of the masterminds.
- While destroying the school, he killed Tsumugi and Monokuma and destroyed himself in order to save Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko.
- While it can be argued that him being primarily guided by his inner voice (which was actually the audience's input) gives him moral agency issues, the fact that he actively rebelled against them during the final trial proves that they were more of orders he blindly followed rather than anything that was actually controlling his choices.
