Kano is a major supporting character in the Secret Histories web series by Mashed, appearing in the episode Secret History of Mortal Kombat. He is presented as a journalist who seeks to stop Raiden's exploitation and devastation of the Outworld.

He is voiced by Mick Lauer.

What Makes Him Pure Good?

• Unlike his purely villainous canon counterpart, this version of Kano has never committed any crimes and is a humanitarian rather than a terrorist.
• He acquired evidence of the Earthrealm's forces' war crimes in the Outworld and planned to reveal it to the public, which could potentially stop the war between the realms, only for Sonya Blade and Raiden to capture and almost kill him.
• After coming back from his supposed demise, he questioned Raiden if all the deaths he caused were really worth it, possibly trying to convince him to rethink his actions.
• Although he fails to achieve any meaningful victory against the villains, Secret Histories have generally low Admirable Standards, and by trying to end a bloody conflict with the few resources he has he does enough to stand out.

Trivia

• Kano is currently the only Secret Histories character to be Pure Good.
