Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Brown, better known as Kareem Brown, is a recurring character in Disney+ Original Series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, a revival to The Proud Family, and the titular main protagonist of its Spin-Off Jungle Safari Kareem.
He is Penny Proud's boyfriend and future husband, Alcindor and Kalisha's son, Grand Papaw's youngest grandson and Akuna Umeadi's younger paternal half-brother.
He is voiced by Asante Blackk and Ashton Sanders (as an adult) in Louder and Prouder, and by Donald Glover in Jungle Safari Kareem who also voiced Simba in the 2019 remake of The Lion King.

Season 1[]
- He remains nice to the Proud Family after meeting them for the first time when they believe Penny brought him home unsupervised.
- He pretended to be bad at basketball to Oscar Proud to avoid playing at his team and be a stereotype of the one he was named after.
- Despite his anger and bitterness toward Penny for being too busy at playing basketball rather than paying attention to him and put him on read after spotting him hanging out with LaCienega, he kept being loyal to Penny by helping her to be true to herself and telling her father that she doesn't like playing basketball.
- He revealed to Penny that he is really good at basketball to make her feel better.
- He makes up with Penny after she took her own advice and leaves LaCienega to be with her.
- He begin to "bond" with Oscar Proud after he got shoot out of a cannon by Lamorne Morris on his first date with Penny.
Season 2[]
- He always kept his heart to Penny, also when telling her nothing happened between him and LaCienega during the school trip.
- He paid the pizza guy from Wiz Hut and brought it to Penny's house during her Princess Party and agrees that they go to the Valentine's Day dance together.
- He and Darrius discussed about Noah Baker liking white girls, such as Zoey Howzer, not trying to insult her.
- He allowed Penny to bring BeBe and CeCe with him to the museum.
- He helped Penny look for BeBe after he went missing at the museum.
- He risked his life saving BeBe for falling after he was spotted by everyone climbing on an airplane very high.
- He protected Penny from the police officers after Wizard Kelly ordered them and the other kids to be arrested.
Jungle Safari Kareem: Animal Kingdom[]
- He finally came to his senses and begin to play basketball for his family and because Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an old friend of his grandfather, Grand Papaw.
- When the orchestra could not have him any longer for being named after a famous basketball player and also doing the same hobby, Kareem was less than upset but insulted.
- He tried to be friendly and brotherly after meeting his older half-brother Akuna Umeadi who showed no interests in him.
- He promised to protect Kidogo from danger after realizing that his parents and pride were killed by the poachers.
- After finding the burned village where Akuna was born, he felt very sorry for him how he lost both his home and mother.
- He freed all the animals who were caged up by the poachers, including Huruma who nearly killed him.
- He spared Jangili's life after defeating him, also mourning his death.
- He decided to remain in Africa with his family for the summer and start a new business on rescuing animals and taking down poachers, and rejects to offer of returning to the orchestra.
Jungle Safari Kareem[]
- He allowed his friends, Darrius, Maya and KG to escort him on his adventures in Africa and saving wild animals.
- Befriended many wild animals after rescuing them, including another lion pride who would soon adopt Kidogo.
- He invited the Proud Family to come to Africa and stay at his summer home, only so he could be with Penny, but for no selfish reasons.
- He told Penny that he now plays basketball and decided to quit playing with the orchestra, believing that it wasn't so bad after all.
- Despite accusing Penny after thinking that she was cheating on him when she told him that she got the hat from a native boy whom she later fell in love with, because she thought first LaCienega was trying to steal Kareem from him, he quickly forgave her after realizing that she gave it back for knowing that her heart will always belong to Kareem and no one else.
- Promised Penny that he would never lock her outside for the night or let her sleep on the floor during her time in "Grandma's Hands".
- He invited rest of his friends from Wizville to Africa, including the Boulevardez, also pleading Felix and Sunset to make LaCienega stay away from him.
- Took Penny's advices about standing up to others by telling LaCienega that his heart belongs with Penny, not hers, thus making LaCienega finally give up on Kareem for good.
- He fought and battled Huruma when he tried to eat BeBe and CeCe, and only killed him in a self-defense, proving that is was worth it of him saving the twins, which also proves that Kareem would never harm animals.
- Was grateful when Oscar finally decided to accept Kareem for saving his children.
- After Oscar discovered that Kareem does play basketball and was very good at him, he accused him for "lying" to him and Penny all this time, but instead regretting anything, Kareem finally loses it and snaps at both Oscar and Trudy for insulting him and dragging Penny away from him to Oklahoma.
- He angrily berated Trudy for doing a "child abuse" on Penny, and ignores her words about him being always welcomed to their house anytime, and told her to just prove it before storming out in anger.
- He soon begin to cry, feeling guilty for hurting the Prouds feelings and bringing himself into being someone that he is not.
- Took his friends advices about apologizing to the Prouds and makes up with them.
- He comforts Trudy about being the best mother that Penny and the twins could ever have, and accepts that he'll come visit them anytime, also allowing them to come visit him all time in Africa.
- Forms everyone up to help him save Penny from Queen Imani.
