Koji Shinjo is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Sato) of the 1994 Tokusatsu film Godzilla Vs. SpaceGodzilla. He is a lieutenant and one of the three pilots of Moguera.
He is portrayed by Jun Hashizume.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Saved Miki Sagusa from the Yukaza.
- When Miki Sagusa levitated the bed she was strapped on with her telekinesis, he took advantage of this and shot the Yakuza member (who was using her as a shield) near their foot. However, considering how the Yukaza member was trying to shoot him and was preventing him from being able to rescue her, him shooting him was justified.
- Knocked out Yuki when he was losing focus on the mission and trying to attack Godzilla.
- Piloted the Land Moguera (alongside Sato) and began burrowing underground and blasting the supports for the Tower which was Spacegodzilla’s source of power, causing it to become weak and allow Godzilla to demolish it.
- Blasted off both of Spacegodzilla’s shoulder crystals, weakening him. Because of this Godzilla was later able to defeat him and prevent him from conquering Earth.
- Additionally, by doing this, it also led to Godzilla being able to free his son.
- Saved Yuki from falling to his death and also helped him get to safety before Spacegodzilla and Moguera exploded.
- While he initially wanted to kill Godzilla, by the end of the film, he eventually abandoned it after Miki called him, Sato, and Yuki out on it.
- While it can be argued that Godzilla and Mothra did more with similar resources, Shinjo (alongside Yuki and Sato) only had access to Moguera (which is a more powerful version of Mechagodzilla 2 which previously managed to temporarily kill Godzilla) for this film only as it was damaged and destroyed at the end of the movie when Godzilla destroyed SpaceGodzilla with his red spiral ray.
- Like Yuki, he played a huge role in helping Godzilla defeat SpaceGodzilla and prevent him from conquering earth/wiping out humanity. While Yuki was the strategist throughout the entire fight, he wouldn’t have been able to pull it off in the first place if he didn’t have Shinjo and Sato to the pilot the Land Moguera to help Godzilla destroy the tower while he piloted the star falcon to distract SpaceGodzilla.
