Kudo is one of the overarching protagonists of the My Hero Academia franchise. He was a resistance leader that opposed the infamous villain, All For One, and the successor of All For One's younger brother, Yoichi Shigaraki, becoming the second user of the One For All quirk.
Before dying, he passed his quirk to his second-in-command, Bruce, creating a new legacy of One For All users who would oppose All For One. As of now, he alongside his fellow users posthumously supports its ninth and final user, Izuku Midoriya.
In Japanese, he's voiced by Daisuke Ono and in English, he's voiced by Ben Balmaceda.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General/Background[]
- During the chaotic period where Quirks were awry, he formed and led a resistance against the tyrannical All For One.
- Despite his initial plans to kill him for being All For One's brother, him and Bruce rescued Yoichi's life from imprisonment and welcomed him into his resistance, becoming his first ever friend.
- When All For One attacked his resistance base, he held Yoichi's hand and helped guide his frail self away in the dark.
- Continuing Yoichi's will, him and Bruce would study One For All, then Kudo would pass All For One onto Bruce as his successor, leading to the chain of events that lets later users perform their heroic deeds and even save the world from All For One.
- Although he possesses a pessimistic and cynical nature, this is mostly because of his time living in a war-torn environment caused by All For One. Even then, he possess enough good within him to make the right choices.
- While he is far more willing to use lethal methods, this is mainly because he wants to stop Tomura and All For One, and isn't really sadistic about his lethal actions.
- Despite the franchise's high admirable standards, Kudo stands out due to possessing lower resources, preventing All For One from possessing One For All, which he would've use to conquer the world, and playing a main role in defeating Shigaraki.

- He and the other users, wanting to continue to harness One For All to Izuku, recognizing him for his heroism, temporarily transfer their power to Katsuki Bakugo to defeat Nine, ensuring Izuku does not lose the quirk.
The Final War Arc[]
- He, alongside the other Users, would aid Izuku Midoriya in his fight against both All For One and Tomura Shigaraki.
- While he was initially skeptical towards Izuku at first, he later decided to respect him and would even later sacrifice his afterlife to help stop Tomura during his rampage, which would let other vestiges later defeat him.
- He, alongside the other vestiges (except Yoichi) and Shigaraki, would later destroy All For One's vestige, ending his reign of terror once and for all.
