Laurie Strode is the main protagonist of the "2018" timeline of John Carpenter's Halloween franchise.
In this timeline, she is not related to Michael Myers, but she is trying to stop him once and for all when he escaped from an asylum after being locked up forty years ago.
Like her original and H20 counterparts, she was portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- She is determined to stop Michael Myers once and for all.
- She is a righteous killer and only attacks Michael because he is a homicidal serial killer.
- Although she became more cynical and paranoid which caused her family members to distance themselves from her, she started to subvert this by Halloween Ends where she is more friendly and lovable.
- Although she swears often, it doesn't detract from her heroism.
Halloween (1978)[]
- Unlike her best friends Annie Brackett and Lynda van der Klok, who are irresponsible, smoke weed, and have sex, she is a responsible and mature girl who doesn't engage in those activities.
- Although, she did smoke marijuana, she didn't want to at first, but was only goaded into doing it by Annie, but was repulsed by it and didn't smoke it again.
- She babysits Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace and the only one who takes her babysitting duties seriously, unlike Annie.
- When Michael attacked her at Lindsey's house, she locks the door at Tommy's house and tries to call the police, but couldn't due to Michael cutting the phone lines.
- She protects Tommy and Lindsey from Michael and attacks him with a pin, a coat hanger, and his knife.
- She tells Tommy and Lindsey to go to the Mackenzie's house and call the police.
Halloween (2018)[]
- She arms her house with weapons and security systems to defend it from Michael.
- She tries to protect her family from Michael as well.
- Although she broke into Karen and Ray's house, she was only showing them how easy it was for someone to get inside their home and was only doing it out of protective instincts because of Michael.
- She searches around Haddonfield for Michael, along with Deputy Frank Hawkins.
- She sends Karen to the hidden room while she fights Michael.
- She fights against Michael when he breaks into her home and traps him in the hidden room and drops a flare inside so he can burn.
- She helped Karen and Allyson get out of the hidden room so they won't get killed by Michael.
Halloween Kills[]
- When Tommy tells Laurie that Michael is still alive, she tells Tommy to find him and she tries to get up to face him herself.
- She and Karen try to stop the angry mob in the hospital.
Halloween Ends[]
- After becoming less cynical and paranoid and more friendly and caring, she bought a new house without any security systems and weapons and took care of Allyson after her parents, Karen and Ray got killed by Michael.
- Although she encouraged Corey Cunningham to blow out the bullies' tires with a knife, it was only to stand up for himself after he was being picked on by them and cut his hand and she takes him to the hospital.
- She felt great remorse for many people dying from Michael's killing, even her daughter Karen after a woman scolded her.
- After becoming suspicious of Corey being a serial killer by Michael, she offers to help Corey, but forbids him from seeing Allyson as she doesn't want her to be killed like her parents.
- She tries to warn Allyson about Corey being a serial killer like Michael.
- She shoots at Corey when he broke into her house trying to kill her.
- She doesn't outright kill Corey when he was lying on the floor still alive, and watched as he stabbed himself with a knife to his neck.
- When Michael breaks into her house, she tries to fight him one last time.
- She finally kills Michael by putting him in an industrial shredder, saving Haddonfield and avenging her loved ones, such as Karen and Ray.
