| ~ Lucas |
Lucas is the main protagonist of Nintendo's 2006 science fantasy video game, Mother 3.
He is the son of Flint and Hinawa, as well as the younger twin brother of the leader of the Pigmask Army, Claus. As the right-handed twin, he was formally a timid weakling, but upon his growth and development, he became a much braver and more powerful PSI superhero. Lucas was once living a peaceful life in Tazmilly Village with his family until the aforementioned Pigmask Army, a military dictatorship founded by Porky Minch, invades and ambushes the village. To make matters worse, his mother gets killed, causing his brother, Claus, to go missing. Following the fourth chapter, Lucas sets out on an adventure to save the world from the Pigmask Army.
Lucas is voiced by Lani Minella in the Super Smash Bros. series, who also voiced Pit from the Kid Icarus series, and Sonic Boom from the Skylanders series.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General/Background[]
- Lucas is a purely kindhearted boy who shows significant and even philanthropic care for the whole world, and even performed the impossible by saving it.
- Even though he lost a lot of what he held dear (such as his mother, Hinawa, and his older twin brother, Claus) from the Pigmask Army, a military dictatorship founded by Porky Minch, after the latter has caused an ambush and invasion to his home village, he retained his focus on remaining as a noble hero rather than letting his emotions go overboard.
- While he does not speak/talk frequently, he is heavily honest and polite when he does.
Mother 3[]
- When combined with the assistance of a baby Drago, he rescued Kumatora, Salsa and Wess when the aforementioned trio were surrounded by Pig Tanks, saving them from being captured or killed, along with also rescuing Salsa from his abusive enslavement.
- Lucas willingly agreed to assist in protecting the town at Wess' request for 3 years.
- During his three years as a shut-in recuperating from trauma following the invasion of Porky Minch's Pigmask Army on the Tazmilly Village (which led to the death of his mother and the loss of his older twin brother), he refused to give in to Fassad's corruption and never bought a Happy Box, despite the repercussions of having his house blown up.
- Lucas assisted an amnesiac Duster in repossessing his memories at Club Titiboo.
- Lucas and his friends broke into the Thunder Tower and were the indirect assistance in its destruction, preventing more houses from getting struck and annihilated by lightning.
- Lucas saves Dr. Andonuts from the Chimera Labaratory when the Ultimate Chimera emerges, also saving him from being a slave to the Pigmask Army.
- Lucas assisted in defeating Porky Minch, and would lead to him retreating into the Absolute Safe Capsule.
- Lucas travels to Osohe Castle with the intentions of pulling the first needle, though it is since taken. Afterwards, Lucas pulls the second Needle in the pond owned by Doria.
- Lucas rescues several Mr. Saturns and Duster from being tortured by a group of Fassad's robots and Pigmasks.
- Lucas prevents Fassad from pulling the fourth needle in Fire Mountain, then pulls it himself.
- Lucas successfully stuns the Masked Man and pulls the sixth needle inside the Temple.
- Upon realizing his brother, Claus, is the Masked Man, he fought him single-handed and saved him from Porky Minch's corrupting influence, and strongly talked him out of suicide. This would also prevent Claus from pulling the final needle required to destroy the world.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, Lucas' arch-nemesis is Porky Minch (who is considered Pure Evil), the opposite of Pure Good. This irony is shared with Ness.
- Lucas is the only character from Mother 3 to be considered Pure Good.
- Lucas, Diddy Kong, Toon Link and Pit are the only fighters in the Super Smash Bros. series first hailing from Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be considered Pure Good.
