Mai Igarashi is the deuteragonist of the yuri manga Be Careful, Onee-san. She is a elementary schooler who saved the protagonist Tae Honda from drowning. From there the two will becomes friends.
What Makes Her Pure Good ?[]
- In the first chapter of the manga, when Tae Honda was drowning, she rescued her.
- This makes her pass the standards as she is the only character in the manga to save someone's life.
- While she does sometimes tease Tae, this is done innocently without any mean intentions.
- She is always kind and supportive toward Tae and her friends.
- She defended Tae when Yuki Houjou was saying bad things about her, all while resting polite herself towards Yuki.
- When she did not respect a curfew given by her mother and got punished for that, she understood that she was at fault and accepted her punishment.
- She even defended Tae when she thought her mother was blaming her, putting the blame her herself instead.
- While she felt jealous when she learns that Yuki loved Tae, she wasn't hostile towards Yuki for that and even though she was the bad one for feeling jealousy.
- When they met at the park, she saved Tae from falling, preventing her to be hurt.
- While she does say that she would break things off with Tae if the latter breaks her heart, she said it smiling without any hostility, showing that she does trust Tae.
