Mara is the overarching protagonist of Netflix animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which is the reboot of 1985 Filmation series. She's the previous She-Ra of First Ones and the one responsible for teleporting Etheria into the dimension Despondos, to prevent anyone from using Heart of Etheria, a magical superweapon built by First Ones in the planet, to destroy universe.

She is voiced by Zehra Fazel.

What Makes Her Pure Good?

• Unlike the other First Ones, Mara viewed Light Hope as a genuine friend and not as a meer machine, with Light Hope's memories of Mara leading her to overcome her programing and allow Adora to stop the Heart of Etheria from being used to destroy Etheria and countless other planets.
• She convinced Light Hope to not report Madame Razz after she went to their ship looking for sugar.
• Believing she was in danger, Mara defended Madame Razz from a large wild boar, before understanding it was just scared and deciding to help calm it down.
• She healed the woods that were damaged during her fight with a giant wild boar.
• Before leaving to stop the First Ones from using the Heart of Etheria, she tries to connect with Madame Razz one last time while promising that she would make pies with her the next day so she wouldn't get saddened by her death.
• After discovering the evil nature of First Ones, she created a resistance to stop them, before sacrificing her life to teleport Etheria into the dimension Despondos, deactivating the Heart of Etheria superweapon capable of destroying universe itself.
• Left a pre-recorded message for new She-Ra to have her destroy the Heart of Etheria to stop it from ever being used as a weapon and put Etheria and other worlds in danger.
• She told Adora to not give her life to destroy the Heart of Etheria, telling her that she deserved more than just giving and helping others and that she deserved to live as well.
• Despite her minimal screentime, she has enough of a impact and characterization to count through flashbacks and video messages.
