Mario is one of the two -and the titular one- main protagonists (alongside Sonic) of the 2006 flash animation series Super Mario Bros. Z.
Residing in the Mushroom Kingdom alongside his twin brother Luigi, they are famous for being known as the heroes of the kingdom. After being enlisted by Sonic, he sets out to stop Turbo Mecha Sonic from collecting all of the Chaos Emeralds.
Much like his mainline and paper counterparts, his voice clips were provided by Charles Martinet.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Prior to the events, he constantly protected the Mushroom Kingdom against the threats, such as Bowser, Koopa Bros, Axem Rangers and Smithy.
- When Bowser arrives at the Mushroom Kingdom to kidnap Peach, Mario fights him to protect her and the kingdom, and defeats him in the process.
- He sincerely accepts Sonic's call for help to find Chaos Emeralds and defeat Mecha Sonic.
- Alongside his teammates, he runs for Yoshi when he is about to be killed by Mecha Sonic, saving him.
- When Yoshi is fatally wounded by Mecha Sonic, Mario carries him to the kingdom, and heals him by himself as Dr. Mario.
- Fights Koopa Bros to recover the Chaos Emerald back they stole.
- After they are beaten by Koopa Bros, Mario -as the only conscious fighter- carries Sonic, Shadow and Luigi one by one to the Mushroom Kingdom.
- Saves Luigi from drowning when he fell into the sea during the journey to Yoshi Island, and makes him spit the water he swallows.
- When they are surrounded by Yoshi Tribe, Mario tries to communicate with the tribe at first, and when failing, fights them to protect his teammates.
- Alongside his teammates, he frees Yoshis enslaved by Axem Rangers used for digging up the island for emeralds.
- Alongside his teammates, he fights Axem Rangers X and Koopa Bros to recover the stolen Emeralds and protect his teammates.
- Alongside his teammates, he fights Semi-Super Mecha Sonic to recover the stolen Emeralds. He risks his life to defeat the robot, and he is even killed by him but later revived by Luigi with a Life Mushroom.
- Saves Sonic's life from Mecha Sonic during the island fight.
- Shares the Super Star with Sonic, recovering the emeralds from Mecha Sonic and enabling Shadow to use the Chaos Control for evacuating and saving Yoshi Tribe and teammates.
- Stops Luigi when he intends to hit Stuffwell with a hammer. While his way of stopping is a bit violent as he hit Luigi with a hammer, the circumstances they are in were too critical and Luigi was irritated so much that he would not calm down without force.
- Saves Sonic's life from Mecha Sonic during the pipe maze fight.
- Saves Sonic from drowning in the Minus World.
- Protects Goombella and Kolorado from Turbo Mecha Sonic, alongside Sonic.
- Carries Sonic and Goombella underwater during the escape of Minus World.
- Comes to Princess Peach's rescue when Bowser kidnapped him to bait Mario for taking Chaos Emeralds for himself.
- Rescues Luigi from a Piranha Plant on their way to rescue Princess Peach.
- Saves his team from Bowser's Doomship's Kannon by doing a barrel roll with Sky Pop.
- Alongside Sonic, he saves Yoshi and Luigi from Koopatrol army.
- Fights Basilisx to rescue his petrificated friends. Although failed, he uses his best efforts to defeat him.
- Unlike his brother Luigi who often shows cowardice and incompetence, Mario shows total bravery.
