Mavis Dracula is the deuteragonist of the Sony Pictures Animations' Hotel Transylvania franchise. She is Count Dracula's daughter and despite being a vampire, is loyal, protective, selfless and heroic.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- Unlike her father's opinion on humans, she refuses to judge them before even getting to know them, and she only agrees with her father's prejudice against humans one time after she visits a made-up village that was created by her father with the purpose of making her see things his ways and think humans are despicable.
- Even after learning that Johnny was a human, she still remained in love with him and was even heartbroken when he rejected her (she didn't know that he was doing it to protect himself at first).
- She forgave her father for his overprotectiveness.
- While she did want to move to California, she wasn't doing it to get Dennis away from him, despite her being angry with what he did while trying to make Dennis a monster, but because she genuinely believes it's going to be better for him, and promised to Dennis they'd visit Drac often.
- Despite Vlad's bad reputation, she invites him to Dennis' Birthday Party, as she thinks he has the rights to be with the family, as he lived away from them.
- She helped her family defeat Bela along with her father and other monsters and protected Dennis from him.
- After defeating Bela, she changed her mind about moving and stayed in the Hotel along with her family.
- She planned a cruise, along with all of her friends, so that her father can relax a bit, as she saw that Dracula was stressed, and thought it was because he was overworking himself.
- While she didn't like her father's relationship with Ericka and wanted it to end at first, she just had the thought of losing him and Ericka was plotting to kill her father the whole time, so this makes her reason more justified. Also, she did later accept it and encouraged her father to tell Ericka how he felt, despite that she rejected him earlier.
- She saved a lot of monsters along with Ericka from being killed by the Kraken when Van Helsing attacked them.
- After learning that her father turned into a human and Johnny turned into a monster and then they went to South America, she, Ericka and the rest of the monsters go to South America to find them so they can transform them back.
- While she does get angry at her father when he revealed that he lied, it was clearly justified as he seemed to have only cared about the Hotel and himself other than Johnny, and he didn't even accept Johnny as family.
- When Johnny grew stronger and more and more animalistic in his monster form, she distracted him long enough so Dracula and his friends can find the crystal.
- Once Dracula apologizes to Johnny for his being so selfish, Mavis turns Johnny back to his normal self and hugs both of them.
- After GiGi (who was turned into a monster) destroys the Hotel and Dracula gives her and Johnny the Hotel, she and her friends rebuilt it and made some adjustments, which Dracula approves of.
