Cybertronian citizens: as I have done before, I will battle Trypticon again. Remove yourselves to safety.
~ Metroplex marches to his last battle

Metroplex is a major character in the Titans Return and Combiner Wars parts of the Prime Wars trilogy. He is an Autobot Titan and one of the original ones, who traveled to other planets to create new life.

He was voiced by Nolan North who also voiced Superboy in Young Justice .

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

  • Long ago, he traveled across different planets and helped make new Cybertronian life while resting in city mode until needed, eventually making his way to Cybertron and becoming Metroplex City, often communicating with Windblade up until the Combiner Wars begun.
  • During the conflict, he sometimes communicated with Windblade, telling her to "not let this happen" referring to the destruction brought about by Decepticons.
  • After Starscream obtained the Enigma Force and defeated Windblade, she contacted Metroplex and begged for his help, and despite being understandably angry at her, he still emerged after she apologized.
  • As Windblade activated her city speaker link with him, Metroplex held off the Super-Combiner and crushed Starscream in his hand, giving Optimus and Megatron the chance to take down the Super-Combiner.
  • Afterwards he assisted in the reconstruction of Cybertron.
  • Though he had been planning to leave Cybertron, after Trypticon was revived, he decided that he would take on him by himself in spite of his injuries, upholding his promise to Optimus: keep Cybertron safe.
  • As the two fought, despite being outmatched and losing the upper hand, Metroplex kept fighting until the arrival of Emissay. Being granted the power to use his optics for fire power, he kept blasting Trypticon until the Titan ripped his arm off, overwhelming and defeating him. Understanding that his time was up, he had Emissary ejected before Trypticon finally crushed him to death.
  • Though Metroplex doesn't play a large role in the trilogy, his influence is far too much to ignore, as he was able to defeat Starscream in his Super Combiner mode, reclaiming the Enigma of combination and avenging the Mistress of Flames' death and stopping Starscream from killing both Optimus and Megatron with a black hole as well as taking over Cybertron, Later giving his own life in order to once again fight Starscream after he returns in Trypticon's body. Not to mention he is responsible for the Cybertronians as a whole as he was the one who allowed life to bloom on Cybertron and several other planets, making him indirectly responsible for the actions of other Transformers in the series.
  • Though he was initially reluctant to aid Windblade in the war, it was justifiable due to her growing aggresion towards him and how she abandoned him for a good ammount of time, once she apologized, he wasted no time in emerging and assisting the Autobots. Also while he did try to kill Starscream, this was only because he was an ireedemable evil that yearned for control over all Transformers, and even then he's later shown to have survived.
