Fred McFeely Rogers, better known on television as Mister Rogers, is the main protagonist of the classic children's TV series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, as well as one of the most famous heroes in Western media.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

  • He's very good friends with every single character introduced in the show (possibly excluding Lady Elaine) due to his loving and generous personality.
  • His song "It's You I Like" is about how he loves children for who they are and not for what they look like or what they own, but instead them as people.
  • In the Divorce, he explains that whenever a child's parents separate it's never the child's fault.
  • In the episode A Boy in A Wheelchair, he meets a boy named Jeff Erlanger with quadriplegia and explains his condition to the audience in a respectful way, pushing him to become a famous disability activist which is acknowledged in-universe.
  • When the real Fred Rogers planned to leave the show due to his sick condition worsening, he tells the audience "I would like to tell you what I often told you when you were much younger. I like you just the way you are. And what’s more, I’m so grateful to you for helping the children in your life to know that you’ll do everything you can to keep them safe. And to help them express their feelings in ways that will bring healing in many different neighborhoods. It's such a good feeling to know that we’re lifelong friends."
  • Despite his show being mainly played for pure innocence, there is continuity throughout the show with the majority of episodes possessing a clear message, in addition to genuinely enjoying his job of nurturing children, allowing him to stand out.
