Yes, Aaron, it's true. Pharaoh has the power. He can take away your food, your home, your freedom. He can take away your sons and daughters. With one word: Pharaoh can take away your very lives. But there is one thing he cannot take away from you: Your faith. Believe. For we will see God's wonders.
~ Moses encouraging the Hebrews to believe.
Goodbye brother...
~ Moses' last words to his adoptive brother, Rameses.

Moses is the titular main protagonist of DreamWorks' 2nd full-length animated feature film The Prince of Egypt, a retelling of the Biblical Book of Exodus and it's musical. He is the second son and youngest child of Yocheved, the younger brother of Aaron and Miriam, the adoptive son of Pharaoh Seti and Queen Tuya, the adoptive younger brother of Rameses, the husband of Tzipporah and the son-in-law of Jethro.

He was voiced by Val Kilmer

What Makes Him Pure Good?

  • Even when he did not yet know he was Jewish he had good deeds:
    • Even though he is spoiled, arrogant and bratty in chasing his adoptive brother Ramses into trouble through the fury of his father Seti I, he tries to reassure his father, is responsible for his mistakes and tries to cheer up his brother.
    • He quickly regretted humiliating Tziporah at the party after doing so and seeing his disappointed adoptive mother.
    • After he sees Tziporah trying to escape from Egypt, he distracts her sentries to allow her to escape.
  • He begins to have feelings for the Jews after discovering that he is one of them.
  • He killed an Egyptian guard, but unwittingly and only because he was trying to help an old Jew who couldn't take it anymore.
  • He refused to give away the ring of chief builder of the pyramids when he flees into the desert.
  • He quickly comes to the rescue of Tziporah's younger sisters when they are targeted by bullies, even though he still doesn't know who they are.
  • When he returns to Egypt he tries in every way to make Ramses think, but without success.
  • He apologizes to all the Jews.
  • After finally freeing the people from the law, he hears Ramses screaming from the other side of the sea, and with sadness in his heart he says "Goodbye brother...".
