~ Omega, to the Bad Batch

Omega is the deuteragonist of the 2021 Disney+ animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

She is an enhanced unmodified human female clone of bounty hunter Jango Fett and was created by the Kaminoans as the medical assistant of Nala Se, she later joined Clone Force 99 and fled with them.

She is voiced by Michelle Ang.

Her Good Ranking[]

In General/Background[]

  • Despite being isolated from all of the other clones that were stationed on Kamino, she never became vengeful and stayed positive nonetheless.
  • Despite being a kid, she has clear moral agency, rejecting being with the Empire and choosing to stay with Hunter when he asks her to stay with Cut.
  • She's very naive and has very little knowledge on her surroundings and rules outside of Kamino. Such moments include playing with dirt, unintentionally alerting a creature, stealing stuff she likes, making friends with strangers like Fennec Shand, repairing Todo 360's leg, releasing a bunch of Training Droids in a training room, still seeing the good in Crosshair despite all he had done, and doing lots of crimes with the Bad Batch as mercenaries without knowing the rules.
    • Due to this, she has a massive love for adventure and convinces the Bad Batch to go on missions she wants to do, regardless of how dangerous they are.
  • She's very brave, putting her friends over her feelings of anxiousness.
  • She's extremely tragic and sympathetic. She was isolated from her brothers until the Bad Batch came along, was hunted down by lots of bounty hunters, watched her homeworld Kamino get destroyed and seeing her brothers leaving or dying. This all motivated her to fight back against the Empire for all they had done to wreck her life.
  • Despite Star Wars' high admirable standards, she does a lot to fight for her fellow brothers to stand out, and overall she has very little resources.
  • Although she does tend to overreact at times, such as when she insists on keeping the gold from Count Dooku's treasure, being unable to accept that Echo made his own decision to leave the group and not being able to let go of Tech even after being told that he's dead, they are all played for sympathy too much to count as corrupting as she was raised in a private lab in Kamino all her life with no friends and she is just a kid, so her reactions appear to be reasonable.

Season 1[]

  • When she encounters The Bad Batch, she quickly made a liking towards them and wanted to get to know them more.
  • She only threw food at another clone because he was calling the Bad Batch rude names and told him to apologize soon afterwards.
  • Uses a clone's blaster to shoot Crosshair's weapon to stop him from hurting the Bad Batch.
  • When a creature captures the capacitor they need for the Marauder and Hunter gets attacked by it, Omega saves him by putting his breath mask back on to prevent him from suffocating, therefore receiving Hunter's gratitude.
  • She helped the Bad Batch free Jabba's rancor Muchi from the Zygerrians.
  • On a mission to retrieve a tactical droid head, Omega makes peace with Trace and Rafa Martez and helps them escape from Correlia's police droids.
  • When Wrecker's chip activated, she tried to convince Wrecker to stop, only for him to continue trying to kill her before Rex stunned him.
  • She gets shocked when she realized that Fennec Shand killed Taun We, despite her being Omega's enemy.
  • She only gets upset because Cid, Hunter and Tech make her stay from their next mission to make her clean Cid's parlor. However, her high intelligence in the Dejarik game makes them change their mind.
  • Refuses to listen to Hunter on not helping the Twi'leks and after pleading with him to help them, they freed Hera's parents.
  • She helped Cid reclaim her parlor from Roland Durand (although this was before she realized Cid's true nature).
    • She also showed sympathy to Roland when she noticed that he genuinely cared about his pet, being quick to believe he wasn't all bad as a result, and tried to stand up for him when the Pike Syndicate members wanted to punish him for his initial failure to deliver their spice. After they cut off one of his horns as punishment, she speaks to and comforts him over it.
  • During the mission in rescuing Gregor, she flew the Marauder towards the Bad Batch and Gregor, and when their shields were down, she used Gonky to fix it.
  • When Hunter was captured towards the end of the previous mission, she insists to Echo that they all go back to find him.
  • She instructs the Bad Batch on how to navigate on Tipoca City during the mission to rescue Hunter.
  • When Vice Admiral Rampart fired on Tipoca City and Crosshair was trapped underneath wreckage after being separated from the group, she prevented him from drowning by saving him.
  • When AZI-3 shuts down and is left to deactivate in the water after trying to save her, she tries to go back and save them, nearly at the cost of her own life.
  • She thanked Crosshair for saving her and AZI-3, and when Crosshair refused to rejoin his brothers, she insists that he is still their brother before leaving. This shows that she still cares for Crosshair despite all his evil deeds.

Season 2[]

  • When TAY-0 was destroyed, she and Tech repaired him only for him to be destroyed yet again.
  • Cheered on Tech as he raced in TAY-0's place.
  • Encouraged the rest of the Batch to go treasure hunting with her and Phee Genoa.
  • Rescues a Wookiee Jedi named Gungi and helps him defend Kashyyyk from Trandoshans.
  • After getting contacted by Rex, she accompanies Riyo Chuchi on her mission to find the truth on Tipoca City's fall and visits Halle Burtoni while the rest go and infiltrate Rampart's Star Destroyer. When both succeeded, Omega gives Riyo Chuchi the evidence against Vice Admiral Rampart, which got him arrested.
  • While reluctant, she assisted the Batch in extracting Ipsium.
  • With the help of Benni Baro, she exposes his boss Mokko for manipulating all of his workers, which nearly got her killed again.
  • After landing on Pabu, she immediately befriends Phee Genoa's niece Lyana Hazard and the two play together.
  • When Echo returns, Omega tightly hugs him and exclaims in relief how happy she is for him to be back. Then she assists the rest of the Batch to go and rescue Crosshair from the Advanced Science Division.
  • Despite Hunter ordering her to sneak away through the mining tunnels, she goes back and saves his brothers from the clone commandos and Dr. Hemlock by revealing herself and having her get captured in their place. And when Dr. Hemlock gives her the offer of joining the Empire in exchange for their freedom, she rejects the offer, only to be stunned and captured by his clone commandos before being transported to Mount Tantiss to be experimented on.

Season 3[]

  • During her imprisonment on Mount Tantiss, she tames a lurca hound named Batcher to be her ally, comforts Crosshair, and tries to redeem her sister Emerie Karr.
  • She defies a droids orders of eliminating Batcher and heals him.
  • She helps Crosshair escape Mount Tantiss. She also was willing to free the other imprisoned clones but didn't have the time to.
  • She uses her gambling skills to get her and Crosshair out of the planet Lau after their ship crashed and freed Batcher before hijacking a ship.
  • She started to bond with Crosshair and encourages his redemption.
  • She accepts staying on Pabu to help heal Crosshair's hand.
  • She endures in her tests Ventress assigns her in spite of her inability to let go of her brothers getting in her way. Although she does question what the point of these tests are and believes her abilities as a soldier are good enough, she was just wondering why they were too hard.
  • She turns herself in so that the Empire could stop attacking Pabu.
  • She breaks out of the Tantiss Vault with the other kids, and helps them escape to Pabu, while she stays behind to free her brothers.
  • She helps Echo free all of the clones imprisoned in Mount Tantiss.
  • She breaks free of Hemlock’s shackles, allowing Hunter and Crosshair to kill him and end his experiments for good. This also ensures that she and her brothers are safe from the Empire for good.
  • She joins the Rebellion to help fight against The Empire as a pilot.

Trivia[]

  • She was originally considered Near Pure Good since in the two first seasons of The Bad Batch it shows little personality. However, upon Season 3 was released, it was finally shown how kind-hearted Omega really is, allowing her to qualify as Pure Good.
