This article pertains to a Pure Good with more than one version who is Pure Good! |
Optimus Prime (alongside Shinji Ikari) is the main protagonist of Transformers Evangelion crossover fanfiction by Haddad062. He is the leader of the Autobots who ended up being pulled into a portal and sent to the Neon Genesis Evangelion Universe where he would help NERV against the Angels, becoming the father figure to Shinji Ikari and bringing down SEELE’s schemes of causing the Third Impact.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Although he did have a few breakdowns they were intense Heating-Up Periods from trauma of events and still pulled through even then he did not gaining corrupting qualities.
- This effectively painted him as antithesis to people Shinji knows — Misato, Asuka, and Gendo in particular — as unlike him, they were either wallowed in/attempted to run away from their own shortcomings rather than properly faced it.
- He succeeded what Kaworu Nagisa and Ryoji Kaji doomed to fail to do in the original series; helping Shinji overcoming his emotional issues and dealing the root of such problem at the same time.
Transformers Evangelion[]
- He would attempt to prevent Galvatron from using the Darkspark blowing up the Earth’s Moon in the Transformers Universe though was pulled into a portal in that event.
- After ending up in the Neon Genesis Evangelion Universe and following a trail he would come across the battle between Shinji Ikari and Arael. While he did thought the Evangelion Unit was a evil robot he soon realized the Angel was the aggressor instead when he noticed the human in the mecha. While did try to reason it he would be forced to kill it to the humans from harm.
- He would end up becoming a father figure to Shinji Ikari where his kindness and compassion would help him mentally recover as he would help drive Shinji from NERV to School and back in his altmode
- This would prevent Shinji Ikari from being driven to the brink and going down the same path as his original version preventing him from going down like Shinji's original self.
- He would help Asuka locate one of her missing music disks when she was looking for it by finding it in a trash bin in NERV's base
- He would lead Shinji, Asuka, and Rei when Starscream invaded Tokyo-03 though Asuka did disobey his orders despite his warnings.
- While he did not show remorse when Starsceam got killed by a unknown foe it was due to being shocked on the sudden event and his vile actions.
- He would end up calling out Gendo Ikari’s abuse on Shinji Ikari and for his unjust necessary evils just as attempting to sacrifice one of Shinji's friends life which was justified.
- When Kawaru asked him to kill him (much like he did with Shinji in the original series) he manage to talk him out while expressing remorse for killing his kind when he learned of his Angel origins when he learn some Angels are capable of sapience.
- When he learned Keel was mastermind behind The Beast Machine and Gendo’s actions he would call him out for his immoral actions of using one of his own kind and putting Evangelion Pilots in constant danger. Including when he was told his home planet of a alternate timeline was wiped out and killing Kaworu.
- He would attempt to protect the Evangelion Pilots from The Beast Machine though he failed to save Rei Anyami, it isn’t corrupting due to him unable to save her in time when it destroyed Evangelion Unit-00. While he almost fell to it this brought time for Grimlock to arrive in time and fight to destroy the Cybetronain-Evangelion Hybrid.
- He alongside Grimlock woud recover injured Asuka, and the deceased bodies of Rei and Kaworu back to NERV HQ swearing to bring Keel to justice.
- When Keel sent a ultimatuim to NERV to banish Optimus Prime he refused to give in where he would be approached by Vector Sigma to undo Keel's by preventing the events of Beast Machines from weakening Cybertron.
- He would travel back in time to the events of The Nemesis Part II teaming up with Optimal Optimus to put a end to Predacon Megatron’a schemes. While he did kill the Predacon leader, it was justified given he commits the same crimes as his original Beast Wars counterpart up to that point and to save Cybetron’s future where it allowed the Transformers of the future to fight off SEELE’s invasion shown by Vector Sigma.
- He would return to the present when NERV and the Autobots were at the mercy at SEELE’s Mass Production Evangelion Units bringing them down. While he did destroy them it was done to save everyone from doom and saving the world so it isn't considered lethal as he hesitated to do it but had no choice to save his friends. He would end SEELE’s schemes and bring them to custody.
- When Galvatron showed up and stole Adam & Lilith's remains, he would attempt to stop the Decepticon Leader to no avail.
- After the Third Impact was triggered by Galvatron after being revived when Shinji Ikari rejected the Third Impact due to his faith of Optimus where Optimus used the Matrix of Leadership to light the darkest hour to undo the kills Galvatron done including reviving Yui Ikari.
- While it did turn the Evangelion Units fully robotic it isn’t considered corrupting due to it being the Matrix’s doing beyond his control and given Yui Ikari was revived by it, it likely Asuka’s mother was also revived by it.
- After Galvatron was weakened by Shinji and Asuka, he finishes off Galvatron and while somewhat brutal it was justified for attempted omnidice.
- He would bring Keel and SEELE to be trailed by Earth and Cybertron's governments for their actions given what they done in the story and shared with original SEELE it is played for satisfaction.
- He would say his goodbyes to Kawaru and Rei when the two become hosts of Adam & Lilith now stabilized thanks to the Matrix of Leadership. There he would free the Evangelion Pilots from their duties before heading back to his universe.
