Orihime Kurosaki (née Inoue) is the tritagonist of the anime and manga series Bleach. She is one of the childhood friends of Ichigo Kurosaki (along with Tatsuki Arisawa) and also his love interest (later girlfriend and wife), as well as a student at Karakura High School.
In the original Japanese version of the anime, she is voiced by Yuki Matsuoka, and in the English version, she is voiced by Stephanie Sheh.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- When her deceased brother Sora turns into a Hollow named Acidwire and attacks first Tatsuki, then Ichigo when he comes to defend them, she learns that this happened as a result of his spirit getting angry over her praying to him less and less over the years as a result of her friendship with Tatsuki and her crush on Ichigo. While she is initially horrified that her brother could do such things, she sympathizes with him to the point of that she steps between him and Ichigo, which causes her to get wounded by his attack. She then hugs him and apologizes due to feeling like his corruption is her fault, which in turn, causes Sora to feel great remorse, allow himself to be purified by Ichigo's Zanpakuto and move on to Soul Society.
- She defeated a Hollow named Numb Chandelier and saved the lives of many students.
- She helped Ichigo and his friends save Rukia, who was about to be executed in the Soul Society. She made the choice to risk her life to save Rukia despite knowing how dangerous it could be, especially for her due to her lack of prowess in combat compared to some of the others.
- Although she confessed to Matsumoto that she felt jealous of Rukia, mainly because she was able to support and cheer Ichigo up when she couldn't, it was clearly visible that Orihime felt bad about this jealousy, as to her, Rukia was a good friend, she even started to call herself out of her name instead of blaming somebody else, further demonstrating her pure heart.
- Before being taken to Hueco Mundo by Ulquiorra, she went to say goodbye to the unconscious Ichigo, confessing to him that if she had a choice, she would like to say goodbye to all her friends like Tatsuki, Rukia, Uryu, Chad, etc., and that if she had five lives, she would fall in love with exactly the same person each time, which proves her great devotion to her friends and how deep and unconditional her feeling for Ichigo was.
- She displayed kindness to her enemies, such as healing Loly Alvirrne despite the latter torturing her beforehand.
- She also shows empathy to her enemies like Ulquiorra Cifer. When he was about to die after his battle against Ichigo, she was empathetic to him despite the fact that Ulquiorra was the one responsible for kidnapping and threatening her.
- She supported the Soul Reapers in their efforts against Yhwach and the Wandenreich.
- She is shown to be very cheerful and supportive to her friends and allies.
- She sees the better of everybody and even tries to help anyone who can be redeemed.

- She is the only Bleach hero to be approved for Pure Good.
