Sheldon J. Plankton, better known simply as Plankton, is the protagonist of the SpongeBob SquarePants webcomic THE SECRET FORMULA.
He is the owner of the Chum Bucket who is the archenemy of Mr. Krabs and formerly SpongeBob SquarePants, obsessed with stealing the Krabby Patty secret formula. However, after finally stealing it and discovering that Krabby Patties are made of people, he redeems himself, setting out to rescue SpongeBob and make Mr. Krabs pay for what he did.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- While he was presumably initially a villain like his main counterpart, he redeems himself at the end of the story, becoming a hero and not showing any arrogance or other qualities towards the end of the webcomic.
- Upon learning that the Krabby Patties were made out of other people, he soon tried to inform SpongeBob about it, unfortunately being too late to save him, which he shows remorse over.
- While initially too depressed to continue on, after Karen convinces him to keep going, he sets out to find SpongeBob in Rock Bottom and try to rescue him.
- While he ended up killing SpongeBob, it was only after SpongeBob insisted he put him out of his misery, and Plankton cried and was extremely hesitant as he did so.
- After being rescued from his imprisonment by Karen, he decides to take down Mr. Krabs once and for all, so no one else can go through the same torture SpongeBob or any of his other victims did.
- While his murder of Mr. Krabs was brutal, it was completely justified given what the crab had done, and was merely seeking out justice for all the lives he had claimed.
- He and Karen send Gary's ashes to Patrick as a memory.
Trivia[]
- He and his incarnation from The Bikini Bottom Horror are the only versions of Plankton to be Pure Good, ironically both being from fanon SpongeBob SquarePants webcomics where Plankton redeems himself after finding out what Krabby Patties are really made of.
