What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- She cares for all animals, and can't stand to see one hurt. Whenever Katniss shot an animal on a hunt, Prim instantly wanted to heal it.
- She saved Buttercup from being drowned by Katniss and is the only person to treat him kindly, earning the cat's love in return.
- When chosen for the Hunger Games, she keeps her composure and tries to come forward and accept, and tries to stop Katniss from volunteering in her place, as she doesn't want Katniss to die for her.
- She helps her mother treat many patients in Catching Fire, and she tends Katniss and Gale's wounds when they're flogged by Capitol soldiers.
- She encourages Katniss to defy Snow and tells Katniss not to worry about protecting her, saying that since Katniss saved her life, she feels she has to do something to make the world better, and just living isn't enough.
- In Mockingjay, she wants to become a medic in order to save lives, and she gives Katniss advice on how to proceed and encourages her to assert herself around Coin, which surprises Katniss with how mature and strong-willed Prim has become.
- She risks her life by going back to save Buttercup during an air raid.
- She volunteers to be sent to the front lines of battle as a medic, despite being too young for it. When Coin bombs a crowd of Capitol children, Prim rushes forward to give medical aid to as many of them as she can, showing no fear or hesitation and ultimately sacrificing her life in order to do this. Her death also prompts Katniss to discover Coin's guilt in that event, leading to Katniss killing Coin and preventing her from seizing power.
- She respects all life and holds no ill will towards anyone, even President Snow, who she has good reason to hate.
